The 16th round of Serie A saw Napoli beat Cagliari 2-1 at the Maradona stadium, ending an 80-day winless streak in front of their home fans. The Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen scored the opening goal with a header in the 69th minute, and then provided an assist to the Georgian Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for the second goal.

Pavoletti equalized for Cagliari in the 71st minute, but the visitors’ joy was short-lived as Kvaratskhelia scored the winner just two minutes later. In the first half, Rrahmani hit the post with a header in the 29th minute.

In another match, Lecce defeated Frosinone 2-1 in the second game of the 16th round of Serie A. Piccoli scored the opener for Lecce in the 11th minute, but Frosinone equalized with a penalty from Kaio Jorge in the first half.

The match seemed destined to end in a draw, but Ramadani scored the winner for Lecce in the 89th minute with a decisive deflection from Monterisi. D’Aversa’s team secured their first win in almost three months and moved up to 20 points, while Di Francesco’s team remained on 19 points, both in a safe zone.

And finally, the third match, Torino beat Empoli 1-0 in the 16th round of Serie A. Sanabria scored the only goal of the match with a header in the 25th minute, but it was disallowed for offside.

Zapata scored the winning goal for Torino in the 25th minute on an assist from Bellanova. Empoli tried to react in the second half, but Milinkovic Savic was alert and made many interceptions to secure the win for Torino. With this victory, Torino moves to 23 points and are now in contention for a place in Europe.
