El Sharaawy gol vs Inter

Roma started the match well, making team’s defence difficult with their counter-attacks and insertions. However, in the 17th minute, it was Inter who unblocked the score with a lucky goal by Acerbi that surprised Rui Patricio.

Roma’s reaction was not long in coming, and in the 28th minute the equaliser arrived: Mancini took advantage of a Pellegrini corner and beat Sommer with a precise header.

Thanks to the draw and the momentum at the Olimpico, De Rossi’s team continued to push forward on the wings of enthusiasm.

Indeed, in the 44th minute they took the lead through El Shaarawy, who finished off a fine choral action with a shot from the edge of the area.

Inter overturn it in the second half

In the second half, however, Inter changed gears, dominating the Giallorossi far and wide. In the 49th minute, Thuram evened the score by anticipating the opposing defender. The overtaking goal came thanks to another Roma own goal: Angeliño deflected a Dimarco cross into his own goal in an attempt to anticipate Thuram.
