Imagine being in a cosy Inter café, with the smell of freshly brewed coffee in the air. The cups are warm in your hands, and a light drizzle can be seen outside the window. We are ready for an unhurried chat.
We talk about football, about those moments that make fans’ hearts beat faster; San Siro, the iconic stadium, fills with cheering fans. Inter, fresh from Scudetto number 20, makes its triumphant entrance.
The newly crowned champions of Italy parade onto the pitch, smiles and bright-eyed. Calhanoglu is the hero of the day, with a deadly one-two that rattles the nets. And the party is complete, with choruses, flags and hugs until late into the night. Piazza Duomo invaded by thousands of people who had come from all over the world to celebrate the second star.
Bologna returns to Europe
Then there is Bologna, playing with heart. At the Dall’Ara, Motta’s Rossoblù went on the attack against Udinese. Saelemaekers, with his masterful free kick, makes the stadium vibrate. But fate is unpredictable, and Davis’s goalpost in the interval leaves everyone speechless. A draw that brings the Felsinei back to Europe after many years and thanks to him, Thiago Motta, the man and coach of the moment that everyone wants for next season.
Atalanta, always daring, dominated against Empoli. Pasalic converted a penalty, and Lookman doubled. Gasperini dreams of the Champions League but does not forget the Coppa Italia rematch against Juventus. The beautiful and winning Dea still dreams of the Europe that counts and has enchanted in past years.
Unnecessary draw
Napoli against Roma, a plunge into the past of those challenges that were once worth the tricolour dreams. A spectacular draw, with Dybala unblocking the match on a penalty kick. But Osimhen, with his grit, overturned everything. The Azzurri waved goodbye to the Champions League, while the Giallorossi dreamed of a resounding qualification, which Roma could achieve by winning the Europa League.
Sassuolo, Inter revenge
Finally, Fiorentina redeems itself after the elimination in the Coppa Italia. At the Franchi, the pitch is set ablaze. Sottil, Nico Gonzalez, Martinez Quarta and Barak make the ball dance. Sassuolo, brave but defeated, must bow down and hope for a salvation that is still possible but difficult. On the next day the Italian champions will want the scalp of the Emiliani, the only one to date along with Atletico Madrid to have defeated the Nerazzurri.
And so, between emotions and goals, Serie A continues to give us entertainment. Who knows what the next day will have in store for us?
