In the 36th day of Serie A, Inter proved their superiority with a peremptory 5-0 victory over Frosinone. Despite the recent controversy surrounding the formation chosen by Simone Inzaghi against Sassuolo, which had raised doubts in Eusebio Di Francesco’s mind, the Nerazzurri left all uncertainty aside.
The match opened with a fairly even first half, with Davide Frattesi’s goal in the 18th minute opening the scoring and then providing the assist for Marko Arnautovic’s double in the 60th minute. From that moment, the match was in Inter’s grasp, with Frosinone suffering a mental collapse.
30 crushing minutes for Inter
In the final minutes of the match, a shower of goals arrived: Tajon Buchanan in the 77th, Lautaro Martinez in the 80th and Marcus Thuram in the 84th completed the manita, with Lautaro finally finding the goal after a period of fasting and Buchanan scoring his first goal in the Nerazzurri.
With this victory, Inter put all the controversy of the week to rest, responding on the pitch to Di Francesco, who despite being clearly inferior to the Nerazzurri, still left himself open to unprofessional expressions towards the Nerazzurri. For Frosinone there is now a real risk of being overtaken by Udinese in the standings, raising questions about their ability to maintain their category.
