Si sono concluse le qualificazione europee per i Mondiali di Brasile della prossima estate. Danimarca, Germania, Spagna e Francia sono sicure della qualificazione.
Nazionale Femminile: testa ai play-off
La Nazionale, nel gruppo 1 della Lega A, non ha raggiunto il primo posto andato alla Danimarca e vista la seconda posizione finale sarà costretta ai play-off per provare a strappare uno degli otto pass rimasti all’Europa per la competizione del prossimo anno.
Saranno due i turni da dover disputare in match di andata e ritorno. Ancora non è certa la prima avversaria delle Azzurre visto che si dovrà ora aspettare il 18 giugno per scoprire il nome della squadra che incroceranno le ragazze guidate dal CT Andrea Soncin
Le possibili avversarie
Saranno 32 le squadre presenti divise in due gruppi. da una parte ci saranno le quattro seconde e le quattro terze qualificate nei gruppi della Lega A che affronteranno le prime della Lega C, sei squadre, e le due migliori seconde. Le gare si giocheranno il 7 e 13 ottobre con le Azzurre che avranno la sicurezza di poter giocare il match di ritorno in casa. Le possibili avversarie del primo turno saranno dunque otto: le sei vincitrici dei gironi della Lega C sono Lituania, Kosovo, Ungheria, Grecia, Romania e Bielorussia mentre e le due migliori seconde sono Arzebaigian e Croazia.
Da queste squadre uscirà la prima avversaria delle Azzurre mentre la seconda verrà fuori, nel caso di passaggio al primo step, dalle vincitrici degli incontri del secondo percorso dove saranno presenti le quattro quarte classificate della Lega A e le quattro vincitrici dei gironi della Lega B insieme alle seconde e terze della Lega B. In questo caso i match sono previsti a cavallo tra novembre e dicembre: sette vincenti andranno direttamente in Brasile mentre una, la peggior piazzata nel Ranking FIFA, sarà costretta ad effettuare un ulteriore play-off contro una formazione non europea.

There will be two rounds to be played in home and away matches. The Azzurre's first opponent is still not certain as we will now have to wait until June 18th to find out the name of the team that the girls led by coach Andrea Soncin will face

There will be 32 teams present divided into two groups. on the one hand there will be the four second and four third-placed teams in the League A groups who will face the top teams from League C, six teams, and the two best second teams. The matches will be played on 7 and 13 October with the Azzurre having the certainty of being able to play the return match at home. The possible opponents in the first round will therefore be eight: the six winners of the League C groups are Lithuania, Kosovo, Hungary, Greece, Romania and Belarus while the two best runners-up are Azerbaijan and Croatia.
The Azzurre's first opponent will emerge from these teams while the second will emerge, in the case of passage to the first step, from the winners of the matches of the second path where the four fourth-placed teams from League A and the four group winners from League B will be present together with the second and third-placed teams from League B. In this case the matches are scheduled between November and December: seven winners will go directly to Brazil while one, the worst placed in the FIFA Ranking, will be forced to play a further play-off against a team not European.
