Le voci si sono rincorse per settimane, alimentate dagli interessamenti di diversi club e da un finale di stagione che aveva lasciato spazio a qualche riflessione. Alla fine, però, la strada scelta dalla Beneamata e da Stefano Vecchi è quella della continuità. L’incontro andato in scena tra le parti ha infatti posto le basi per proseguire insieme il percorso iniziato con la nascita dell’Inter U23. Una decisione che guarda tanto al lavoro svolto nel primo anno quanto alle prospettive di crescita di un progetto ancora acerbo ma già ricco di ottimi spunti.

Nonostante il finale di campionato amaro e il mancato accesso ai playoff, l’Inter ha deciso di non stravolgere il percorso. Mister Vecchi, finito nel mirino di diverse società importanti (Reggiana e Bari su tutte), continuerà infatti a guidare l’Under 23 anche nella prossima annata. Una scelta che nasce dalla convinzione condivisa che il primo anno del progetto abbia prodotto molte più indicazioni positive che negative e che il lavoro impostato meriti ulteriore tempo per svilupparsi.
L’incontro tra il tecnico e la dirigenza è servito soprattutto a programmare il futuro, dalla composizione della rosa alle strategie per valorizzare i giovani più promettenti. Del resto, il 54enne bergamasco rappresenta una figura che conosce profondamente il mondo nerazzurro, avendo già lavorato per anni nel settore giovanile prima del ritorno per l'avventura con la seconda squadra. Proprio questo elemento è stato ritenuto un valore aggiunto in una fase in cui il club preferisce consolidare le basi piuttosto che ricominciare da zero.
La prossima stagione, inoltre, potrebbe presentare un livello di difficoltà ancora superiore. L’ipotesi di un inserimento nel girone C, storicamente il più competitivo della Serie C, rappresenterebbe infatti un banco di prova ulteriore. Ma anche uno stimolo, nel confrontarsi con piazze come Catania, Salerno e Bari (solo per citarne alcune) per una squadra che vuole continuare a crescere senza perdere di vista la missione principale: formare giocatori pronti per il salto di categoria.

Le riflessioni del Biscione non riguardano però soltanto l’Under 23. In queste settimane c'è fermento in Viale della Liberazione, dove si stanno ridefinendo diversi tasselli del proprio settore giovanile, comparto che continua a essere considerato strategico per il futuro del club.
La novità più significativa riguarda la Primavera, dove Benny Carbone sembra destinato a lasciare la panchina dopo un campionato fatto di alti e bassi e concluso con l'uscita precoce dai playoff, in una stagione comunque impreziosita dalla vittoria della Supercoppa Italiana e dall’ottimo percorso in Youth League.
Parallelamente cresce l’attenzione attorno a Samir Handanovic. L’ex capitano nerazzurro ha guidato l’Under 17 a una stagione molto positiva, chiudendo il proprio girone al primo posto e conquistando l’accesso alle fasi ad eliminazione diretta dei playoff. Un percorso che potrebbe aprirgli le porte a uno step successivo all’interno della struttura tecnica interista. Al momento non ci sono decisioni definitive ma il suo nome è tra quelli da tener d'occhio.
