Archiviato il campionato 2025/2026, è tempo che i club pensino al futuro tra arrivi e partenze. Oltre ai giocatori, riflettori puntati sugli allenatori con un emozionante valzer delle panchine. Milan, Napoli, Atalanta, Lazio e Fiorentina (solo per citarne alcune) hanno deciso di passare dall'Inter campioni d'Italia che può contare sulla certezza di Cristian Chivu: il rumeno è pronto al rinnovo fino al 2028.
Chivu (nonostante lo scetticismo iniziale) ha sorpreso tutti realizzando una doppietta perfetta, ovvero Scudetto e Coppa Italia. Proprio quest'ultimo trofeo era tra i punti di forza del suo predecessore, Simone Inzaghi, allenatore dell'Al-Hilal, che sta facendo scalpore, alimentando le suggestioni del mercato e il suo agente si è espresso in merito.
Le parole di Pastorello
Erano circolate diverse indiscrezioni sul possibile ritorno del piacentino nel nostro Paese, ma a chiarire il futuro ci ha pensato l'entourage guidato da Federico Pastorello:
"C'è stato un tentativo di riportare Inzaghi in Italia? Sì. Parliamo di un allenatore che non ha bisogno di presentazioni, ha tanti estimatori, non solo in Italia. Ha questo contratto importante con l'Al-Hilal, ha fatto parte del lavoro, è l'unica squadra imbattuta al mondo, ha comunque vinto una competizione che è la Coppa del Re, è arrivato secondo con un punteggio di 9 punti in più rispetto alla stagione precedente, e nessuno ha mai vinto un campionato con così tanti punti in Arabia Saudita. Dobbiamo rendere onore anche ad Al-Nassr. La missione non è compiuta, per lui non c'è un piano a breve termine, dopodiché ritornerà sicuramente in Italia".
Per rivedere in Serie A l'allenatore originario di Piacenza, forse, bisognerà aspettare il 2027, quando scadrà il suo contratto.
Il percorso italiano di Inzaghi
Nella sua avventura da allenatore sono state due le città in cui ha lasciato il segno, Roma e Milano. Il vero exploit è arrivato dalla parte biancoceleste della Capitale: dalla primavera fino alla convocazione in prima squadra. Nel quinquennio (2016-2021) alla guida dell'ex attaccante, la Lazio ha vissuto un periodo d'oro costellato da 2 Supercoppe Italiane e una Coppa Italia. Nel 2021 la grande chiamata dell'Inter che gli ha permesso di consacrarsi, alzando al cielo tre Supercoppe e altrettante Coppe Nazionali, in più il tricolore del 2024 gli dà un sapore particolare essendo quello della seconda stella.
I rimpianti non sono mancati, considerando gli scudetti persi nel 2022 e nel 2025 rispettivamente contro Milan e Napoli, senza dimenticare le delusioni in Champions League: dalla finale di Istanbul (2023) contro il Manchester City, fino alla debacle con il PSG dello scorso maggio.
L'avventura Saudita
Concluso il ciclo dell'Inter, Inzaghi ha voluto cambiare aria sposando un nuovo ambizioso progetto con l'Al-Hilal. Concluso il suo primo anno saudita, è tempo di bilanci. C'è sicuramente rammarico negli occhi del club biancoblu e dello stesso 50enne per aver lottato, salvo poi lasciare il titolo di campione d'Arabia ai rivali dell'Al-Nassr. Tifosi che hanno comunque potuto festeggiare, grazie alla King Cup vinta in finale contro l'Al-Kholood.
Nella Champions asiatica, invece, basta una brutta battuta di Roberto Mancini (allenatore dell'Al-Sadd) per eliminare il collega agli ottavi. Alcuni risultati altalenanti hanno scatenato l'ira dei tifosi arabi, che si sarebbero aspettati maggiori garanzie dall'ex Inter.
L'esordio di Inzaghi avviene però nel Mondiale per club, dove Milinković-Savić e compagni fanno bene, uscendo solo nei quarti davanti alla sorprendente Fluminenenese.
Ora Inzaghi si godrà le meritate vacanze, prima di tornare al lavoro in vista della stagione 2026/2027. Fornire ulteriori successi all'Al-Hilal sarà l'imperativo, magari con qualche rinforzo dal mercato.
Once the 2025/2026 championship has been archived, it is time for clubs to think about the future between arrivals and departures. In addition to the players, the spotlight was on the coaches with an exciting waltz of the benches. Milan, Napoli, Atalanta, Lazio and Fiorentina (just to name a few) have decided to move on from Italian champions Inter who can count on the certainty of Cristian Chivu: the Romanian is ready for a renewal until 2028.
Chivu (despite the initial skepticism) surprised everyone by achieving a perfect double, i.e. the Scudetto and the Italian Cup. Precisely this last trophy was among the strong points of his predecessor, Simone Inzaghi, coach of Al-Hilal, who is making waves, fueling market suggestions and his agent has expressed his opinion on this matter.

Various rumors had circulated about the possible return of the Piacenza native to our country, but the entourage led by Federico Pastorello took care of clarifying the future:
"Has there been an attempt to bring Inzaghi back to Italy? Yes. We are talking about a coach who needs no introduction, he has many admirers, not only in Italy. He has this important contract with Al-Hilal, he has done part of the work, they are the only undefeated team in the world, he still won a competition which is the King's Cup, he finished second with a score 9 points higher than the previous season, and no one has ever won a championship with so many points in Arabia Saudi. We must also give honor to Al-Nassr. The mission is not accomplished, there is no short-term plan for him, after which he will certainly return to Italy."
To see the coach originally from Piacenza again in Serie A, we may have to wait until 2027, when his contract expires.
Il percorso italiano di Inzaghi
In his adventure as a coach, there were two cities where he left his mark, Rome and Milan. The real exploit came on the Biancoceleste side of the Capital: from spring until he was called up to the first team. During the five-year period (2016-2021) in charge of the former striker, Lazio experienced a golden period peppered with 2 Italian Super Cups and an Italian Cup. In 2021, the great call from Inter which allowed him to be consecrated, raising to the sky three Super Cups and as many National Cups, plus the tricolor of 2024 gives a particular flavor being that of the second star.
There was no shortage of regrets, considering the championships lost in 2022 and 2025 to Milan and Napoli respectively, without forgetting the Champions League disappointments: from the final in Istanbul (2023) against Manchester City, up to the debacle with PSG last May.
L’avventura Saudita
Once the Inter cycle was over, Inzaghi wanted a change of scenery by marrying a new ambitious project with Al-Hilal. Having concluded his first Saudi year, it's time to take stock. There is certainly regret in the eyes of the blue and white club and of the 50-year-old himself for having fought, but then left the title of champion of Arabia to rivals Al-Nassr. Fans who were still able to celebrate, thanks to the King Cup won in the final against Al-Kholood.
In the Asian Champions League however, a bad joke by Roberto Mancini (Al-Sadd coach) enough to eliminate his colleague in the round of 16. Some mixed results have sparked the anger of Arab supporters, as they would have expected greater guarantees from the former Inter.
However, Inzaghi's debut took place during the Club World Cup, where Milinković-Savić and his teammates did well, only coming out in the quarterfinals ahead of the surprising Fluminenese.
Now Inzaghi will enjoy the well-deserved holidays, before getting back to work for the 2026/2027 season. Providing further successes to Al-Hilal will be the imperative, perhaps with some reinforcements from the transfer market.
