Sabato 1 agosto ad Hong Kong, ore 19,30 locali (le 13,30 italiane) l'Inter affronterà il Manchester City in una amichevole di livello internazionale. La tournée estiva dei nerazzurri proseguirà poi in Australia, dove sfideranno Milan e Juventus.
Nelle parole rilasciate da Mister Chivu alla vigilia del primo vero test estivo c’è grande entusiasmo ma anche grande concentrazione e voglia di far bene.
Naturalmente l’allenatore ha voluto come prima cosa esprimere tutto il suo cordoglio per la prematura scomparsa di Franco Baresi, una leggenda del calcio italiano e mondiale. “Tutti quelli che amano il calcio hanno perso una grande icona di questo sport”.
Stones e il salto di qualità
Dopo il doveroso ricordo del leggendario numero 6 del Milan, il tecnico rumeno è tornato a parlare della sua squadra, ancora non al completo (alcuni giocatori reduci dal Mondiale devono ancora tornare dalle vacanze) ma alla quale è stato aggiunto un giocatore di caratura europea: John Stones. Il suo arrivo in maglia nerazzurra ha reso felice Chivu e tutti i suoi giocatori. Con lui il livello della difesa nerazzurra aumenta in termini di qualità, personalità e carisma. Proprio figure come quella di Stones sono necessarie per alzare l’asticella della competitività della rosa, che è già forte ma che ha bisogno di innesti di qualità per misurarsi con le avversarie soprattutto in ambito europeo. “La squadra è competitiva, ma c'è sempre bisogno di giocatori importanti, che ti fanno fare il salto di qualità e che ti permettono di rimanere in linea con le ambizioni di questa società”. Il mercato terminerà soltanto l’1 settembre, quindi c’è ancora un mese a disposizione dei dirigenti e della proprietà per cogliere le opportunità che si presenteranno e inserire nella rosa a disposizione di Chivu qualche altro tassello funzionale. Il mister sa che per questo serve pazienza, in un mercato dove i club europei (specialmente inglesi e spagnoli) propongono cifre mostruose per cartellini ed ingaggi, l’Inter deve cercare di colmare questo gap con le idee, andando a scovare profili che uniscano funzionalità e sostenibilità economica. Servono comunque giocatori che portino entusiasmo e che abbiano forte motivazione ad entrare a far parte del gruppo Inter.
L'amichevole contro il Manchester City
La squadra ha da poche settimane iniziato la preparazione per la nuova stagione, prima con il ritiro in Germania a Donaueschingen ed ora con la tournée estiva che fa tappa prima ad Hong Kong e poi a Perth, in Australia. I ragazzi sono carichi, si stanno allenando bene anche se è naturale che ancora non siano al 100% della forma fisica. I primi test contro le squadre tedesche sono stati dei buoni allenamenti, ora si affronta il Manchester City ed il livello si alza. “È un piacere essere qui, in questo posto fantastico. Siamo in una fase di preparazione alla nuova stagione, ma è speciale per noi avere l'opportunità di giocare qui, contro un grande club”.
Per il City quella con i nerazzurri sarà la prima uscita stagionale, ed il nuovo tecnico Enzo Maresca si affiderà a un undici totalmente sperimentale, dal momento che i vari Haaland, Guéhi, O’Reilly, Doku, Cherki, Rodri (appetito dal Real Madrid di Mourinho, che sta preparando l’assalto) e la new entry Anderson sono ancora in vacanza post-Mondiale. Potrebbero avere spazio l’attaccante dell’Under-21 inglese Mubamba e il nuovo acquisto Monga, prelevato per 11 milioni dal Leicester.
L’Inter ha da poco riaccolto in gruppo tre pedine fondamentali come Petar Sucic, Ange-Yoan Bonny e Hakan Calhanoglu. Tra gli assenti spiccano Lautaro Martinez, Thuram e Akanji (che stanno concludendo il periodo di riposo dopo gli impegni del Mondiale). Chivu avrà quindi a disposizione buona parte dei “titolari” contro il City, senza dimenticare i giovani che potranno mettersi in mostra giocando al fianco dei loro compagni più esperti.
Il primo banco di prova
Hong Kong è il primo banco di prova della nuova stagione dei nerazzurri. Alla vigilia dell’amichevole contro il Manchester City mister Chivu ha trasmesso un messaggio chiaro: entusiasmo, ambizione e voglia di crescere, senza dimenticare che il lavoro quotidiano resta la base di ogni successo. Quella con il City, come le prossime amichevoli, rappresentano un’occasione per aumentare il minutaggio dei giocatori, inserire i nuovi e consolidare i principi di gioco in vista dell’inizio della stagione ufficiale.

Stones e il salto di qualità

The coach knows that this requires patience, in a market where European clubs (especially English and Spanish) offer monstrous figures for cards and wages, Inter must try to fill this gap with ideas, seeking out profiles that combine functionality and economic sustainability. However, we need players who bring enthusiasm and who have a strong motivation to join the Inter group.
L'amichevole contro il Manchester City
