Notte agrodolce per le italiane nel terzo turno d'andata di qualificazione della Women's Champions League. Nove le gare che decideranno l'accesso alla fase campionato con le vincitrici che raggiungeranno i nove club già qualificati mentre le sconfitte retrocederanno in Women's Europa Cup.
Women's Champions League: il punto su Inter e Juve
In campo c'erano anche Juventus e Inter. Missione quasi compiuta per la Juventus: 3-0 esterno in casa dello St. Pölten e qualificazione ipotecata. Le bianconere sbloccano subito con Tatiana Pinto, già a segno contro le austriache lo scorso anno, poi raddoppiano con la perla da fuori di Rosucci al 38'. Nel secondo tempo il St. Pölten prova a reagire ma a dieci dalla fine ancora Pinto ribadisce in rete dopo la respinta di Schlüter sul tiro di Serturini.
Serata storta invece per l'Inter a Wolfsburg. Contro le due volte campionesse d'Europa, le nerazzurre cedono 2-0. Decisivi i gol di Prašnikar e Küver, ma pesa tantissimo l'espulsione di Robustellini a inizio secondo tempo. Il Wolfsburg aveva già sfiorato il gol nel primo tempo con Rúnarsdóttir sugli scudi, poi Huth serve l'assist per l'1-0. In inferiorità numerica l'Inter non regge e subisce il raddoppio di testa su angolo di Peddemors. Servirà l'impresa al ritorno.

Spettacolo a Londra: il Chelsea va sotto con la prodezza di Ainhoa Marin per la Real Sociedad, poi dilaga 5-2 con Girma, Buurman di testa, doppietta della nuova arrivata Malard e gol di Lauren James, servita due volte da Ellie Carpenter. Bene anche il Real Madrid che vince 2-0 in casa dell'Ajax con la punizione di Schröder, ex Häcken, e il gol di Janou Levels. Colpo esterno anche per il Leuven e il Køge. Equilibrio, invece, in Eintracht Francoforte-PSG 1-1: botta e risposta in 3 minuti tra Mühlhaus e la neo parigina Feller, ex Real.
Pari combattuto anche tra Sparta Praga e Servette (3-2): vantaggio di Černá, pareggio Sobal, poi Rancová e Bartoňová per il 3-1 prima del gol finale di Hernández. Infine Brann-Austria Wien 2-1: Lehtola su angolo diretto, pareggio di Pfattner e gol vittoria di Davidson dopo un rigore parato.
