Difficile rivedere Maldini tra le fila del Diavolo, almeno finché ci sarà Cardinale, visti anche gli ultimi dissapori con il numero uno di via Aldo Rossi che lo aveva definito un one man show e ai quali l'ex capitano ha risposto con una battuta: "Si risponde da solo".
Il futuro dell'icona rossonera, però, potrebbe essere a Istanbul. Nei giorni scorsi, infatti, Maldini è uscito su Instagram con un post riguardante la conversazione avuta con Hakan Safi, candidato alla presidenza del club turco. L'ex tecnico milanista ha definito Safi "un leader appassionato e un vero amico", lasciando spazio a quello che potrebbe essere un indizio di mercato: "Sono sicuro che continueremo a condividere tanti altri momenti insieme in futuro". Difficile che si tratti solo di amicizia, anche considerando le sue ultime dichiarazioni in cui ha lasciato la porta più che aperta per un futuro in Turchia: "È un amico, uno dei candidati alle presidenziali, vediamo cosa succede se vince".
Leão verso la Turchia?
L'ex difensore però non sarebbe l'unico a poter sbarcare a Istanbul. Con lui potrebbe arrivare anche un altro volto rossonero: Rafa Leao. Al termine di un anno complicato, il futuro del portoghese sembra essere sempre più lontano dal Milan. Sono tante le proposte per l'attaccante che potrebbe cambiare maglia in estate, diversi club sono interessati e tra le pretendenti ci sarebbe il club turco. Resta da vedere se il giocatore, in caso di richiamo di Maldini, deciderà di restare sotto l'ala protettrice del consigliere senior del Milan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, o se preferirà riabbracciare la leggenda rossonera. Leao ha raccontato infatti di un rapporto speciale con l'ex capitano del Milan, artefice del suo arrivo al Milan e suo grande estimatore.

Il possibile arrivo della coppia Maldini-Leao a Istanbul rappresenterebbe una grande aggiunta all'ipotetica nuova presidenza Safi, intenzionata a spezzare il dominio del Galatasaray e riportare il Fenerbahçe ad alti livelli anche in Europa.
Dal punto di vista tattico Leao diventerebbe subito la stella della squadra in un campionato che sta vedendo passare tanti grandi giocatori. Resta però da capire il fattore economico: il Milan non è disposto a fare sconti e, nonostante l'ingaggio da 7 milioni sia alla portata del club, servirà una proposta che si avvicini al valore della clausola rescissoria.
