Negli ultimi sette anni in casa Inter sono cambiati calciatori, allenatori, persino proprietà. Niente di tutto questo, però, è riuscito a scalfire il progetto nerazzurro. Il merito è anche, e per alcuni versi soprattutto, di una garanzia che risponde al nome di Giuseppe Marotta. Dal suo arrivo nel Dicembre nel 2018, l'Inter è tornata a volare sino a mettere in bacheca 3 scudetti con 3 allenatori diversi, 2 finali di Champions, trofei nazionali, e, se possibile ancor più importante, competitività costante e continuativa nel corso degli anni. Oggi, quasi 8 anni dopo, il mondo nerazzurro si gode i frutti di un lavoro lungo, faticoso, certamente di grande soddisfazione, ma guarda anche alle sfide future, che dal punto di vista sportivo nell'ottica di mantenere alto il livello delle ambizioni e della qualità della rosa costruita negli anni per la dirigenza rispondono soprattutto ad un mercato sempre più complicato, e a diverse delicate situazioni sui fronti rinnovi da risolvere. Lo fa senza Piero Ausilio, uno degli artefici dei triofi recenti, che ha lasciato il ruolo di ds dopo quasi 30 anni in società, ma con Dario Baccin pronto a mettere a frutto gli insegnamenti da braccio destro degli ultimi anni. Lo fa, però, soprattutto con la tranquillità di chi sa di potere contare su una polizza assicurativa, Marotta, capace di mettere al riparo da ogni scossone.
Un mercato sempre più difficile
L'Inter ha portato a termine un mercato di grande livello. Provedel, Stones, Spence, Jones, oltre al rientro di Stankovic, hanno portato qualità e completezza alla rosa regalando a Chivu ampia scelta per quanto riguarda le rotazioni. Il tutto in condizioni certamente non semplici e ben lontane dai fasti della Premier e delle altre big europee: le parole “sostenibilità” e “paletti” sono ormai entrate a far parte del vocabolario nerazzurro. Marotta ha invitato a più riprese a portare avanti un mercato creativo, missione certamente riuscita sino a questo momento. Con una squadra, però, di livello così alto, trovare le occasioni che possano rientrare nei parametri economici e allo stesso tempo alzare il livello di un gruppo già importante per Baccin non sarà semplice, e il lavoro al vertice, sia di mediazione che di rapporti, di Marotta sarà ancora più importante.
La questione rinnovi
Un altro tema caldo è certamente quello legato ai rinnovi. Dopo qualche voce di troppo sui prolungamenti non ancora arrivati, in particolare per quanto riguarda i contratti di Dimarco e Calhanoglu, è stato proprio Marotta nel post partita contro il Napoli a chiarire: "Inizieremo a breve una consultazione con gli agenti dei calciatori per ascoltare le loro richieste. Se un giocatore manifesta un grande senso di appartenenza, questo valore va rispettato e insieme cercheremo di arrivare al rinnovo" ha detto nel post partita. Marotta nel corso degli anni si è rivelato fondamentale nel consolidare il gruppo storico. “Rappresenta la storia presente e futura dell'Inter, lunga vita a lui”, ha detto su Lautaro e la corte del Barcellona, a testimonianza della volontà della società di mantenere per quanto possibile le fondamenta attuali della squadra. Calhanoglu e Dimarco, ma anche Bastoni, Thuram, Zielinski, Carlos Augusto, Akanji in scadenza nel 2028, sino a Barella e Lautaro: molto passerà dai rinnovi, tutt'altro che banali però, tenendo conto di una rosa che in molti casi si avvia verso le trentina o si appresta a superarla, un aspetto che certo non aiuta a far avvicinare le esigenze di società e calciatori. Nessuna di queste sfide, però, oggi preoccupa in casa nerazzurra come invece avrebbe fatto (e in molti casi ha fatto). Da un lato per il credito dei successi recenti, e la consapevolezza di avere seminato nel corso degli anni appartenenza e un progetto che attira al di là degli aspetti economici, dall'altro lato, proprio grazie a Marotta e a quella garanzia che negli anni, tra cambi, ribaltoni, terremoti, ha sempre fatto cadere (le poche volte in cui è successo) in piedi.

He does it without Piero Ausilio, one of the architects of the recent triumphs, who left the role of sporting director after almost 30 years in the club, but with Dario Baccin ready to make use of the right-hand lessons of recent years. It does so, however, above all with the tranquility of those who know they can count on an insurance policy, Marotta, capable of protecting against any shock.
Un mercato sempre più difficile
Inter completed a high-level transfer market. Provedel, Stones, Spence, Jones, in addition to the return of Stankovic, have brought quality and completeness to the squad, giving Chivu ample choice when it comes to rotations. All in conditions that are certainly not simple and far from the glories of the Premier League and the other big European clubs: the words "sustainability" and "stakeholders" have now become part of the Nerazzurri vocabulary. Marotta has invited on several occasions to carry forward a creative market, a mission that has certainly been successful so far. However, with a team of such a high level, finding opportunities that can fit within the economic parameters and at the same time raise the level of a group that is already important to Baccin will not be easy, and Marotta's work at the top, both in terms of mediation and relationships, will be even more important.
La questione rinnovi
Another hot topic is certainly that linked to renewals. After a few too many rumors about extensions not yet arriving, in particular regarding the contracts of Dimarco and Calhanoglu, it was Marotta himself who clarified after the match against Napoli: "We will shortly begin a consultation with the players' agents to listen to their requests. If a player shows a great sense of belonging, this value must be respected and together we will try to reach the renewal" he said after the match. Over the years, Marotta has proven to be fundamental in consolidating the historic group. “He represents the present and future history of Inter, long live him,” he said of Lautaro and the Barcelona court, demonstrating the club's desire to maintain the current foundations of the team as much as possible. Calhanoglu and Dimarco, but also Bastoni, Thuram, Zielinski, Carlos Augusto, Akanji expiring in 2028, up to Barella and Lautaro: a lot will depend on the renewals, which are far from trivial however, taking into account a squad that in many cases is approaching thirty or is preparing to surpass it, an aspect that certainly does not help to bring the needs of the club and the players closer together. None of these challenges, however, are of concern to the Nerazzurri today as they would have done (and in many cases have done). On the one hand for the credit of recent successes, and the awareness of having sown over the years belonging and a project that attracts beyond the economic aspects, on the other hand, precisely thanks to Marotta and that guarantee that over the years, between changes, reversals, earthquakes, has always made us fall on our feet (the few times it has happened).
