L'Italia dopo due sfide con Baldini in panchina è pronta alla rivoluzione definitiva. L'idea sembra sempre più essere quella di ripartire con Mancini. Sarà la mossa giusta? Questa la domanda che tutti i tifosi della Nazionale, che non vedranno la propria squadra per la terza volta consecutiva al Mondiale, si faranno probabilmente in questi giorni.
Perchè Mancini e non Conte?
Roberto Mancini è il nome più caldo in questo momento e secondo le indiscrezioni sarebbe stato scelto per il progetto sui giovani. Da loro sicuramente bisogna ripartire perché hanno tutte le carte in regola per fare bene e nelle ultime amichevoli lo hanno dimostrato, hanno fatto vedere le loro qualità. La mossa fondamentale sarà quella di riuscire a "svecchiare" la rosa per dare ossigeno a un gruppo in difficoltà. Puntare sui talenti come Pisilli, Pio Esposito, Palestra e magari dare fiducia a qualche gioiello dell'Under 17, vincitrice degli Europei di categoria.
Per la conferma del CT però bisognerà innanzitutto aspettare l'elezione del nuovo presidente federale, prevista il prossimo 22 giugno e l'ufficialità che potrebbe arrivare verso a fine mese. L'ex tecnico dell'Inter deve risolvere il suo contratto con l'Al-Sadd per firmare il suo ritorno definitivo come CT azzurro. Un ritorno ormai sempre più probabile. Il Mancio ha dato, infatti, apertura già da diverse settimane e oggi mancherebbe davvero pochissimo alla fatidica fumata bianca.
L'altro nome che è spesso stato accostato alla panchina azzurra nelle ultime settimane è quello di Antonio Conte. Dopo l'addio al Napoli era uno dei papabili candidati ma ora sembra che la pista si sia via via andata raffreddando. Serve un progetto a lungo termine e l'allenatore salentino avrebbe fatto fatica probabilmente ad abbracciare questa scelta.
L'obiettivo dell'Italia è tornare finalmente ai Mondiali nel 2030 con un quadriennale più adatto a Mancini (che ha già guidato la Nazionale per più di cinque anni) che a un Conte, che spesso si è fermato al massimo per un biennio in carriera.
Come giocherà l'Italia di Mancini
Con il ritorno di Mancini in panchina l'Italia saluterà quasi sicuramente la difesa a tre, tanto discussa negli ultimi anni nelle gestioni Spalletti e Gattuso.
Nel suo precedente mandato, l'allenatore ha giocato quasi sempre con il 4-3-3, modulo con cui ha vinto anche gli Europei. Negli ultimi due anni, in Arabia, ha invece utilizzato prevalentemente il 4-2-3-1. Largo spazio sarà lasciato ai giovani. In carriera ne ha lanciati tanti e spesso ha fatto scelte forti, su tutte quelle di Zaniolo e Pafundi.
Ora non ci resta che attendere l'annuncio. Non sembrano infatti esserci ormai molti dubbi su chi sarà il prossimo CT azzurro.
