La telenovela turca continua: i dirigenti del Fenerbahce non hanno mai smesso di seguire il centrocampista nerazzurro e ora sono a Milano nella speranza di riportare Calhanoglu nel suo Paese d’origine. L’Inter fa muro e non sembra intenzionata a sedersi al tavolo per trattare una cessione così importante a questo punto del mercato, a meno di offerte irrinunciabili. Il responsabile della sezione calcio del Fenerbahce, Cihan Kamer, sta tentando di convincere anche Rafael Leao, obiettivo primario, ad aggregarsi alla squadra guidata da Ismail Kartal, ma c’è ancora una distanzaeconomica importante con il Milan. In Turchia sognano il doppio colpo milanese, ma al momento resta soltanto un’utopia.

Il rapporto di fiducia tra Hakan Calhanoglu e l’Inter è ormai consolidato da diversi anni e proprio per questo Marotta e Ausilio sembrerebbero molto tranquilli sulla situazione del centrocampista. Da un paio d’anni, diversi club turchi hanno cercato costantemente di convincere il numero 20 nerazzurro a tornare in patria. Calhanoglu ha, infatti, sempre espresso il desiderio di chiudere la sua carriera lì, ma non è ancora arrivato il momento giusto. La prossima stagione sarà fondamentale per capire le intenzioni del mediano, il quale è all’ultimo anno di contratto con l’Inter e bisognerà valutare un possibile rinnovo oppure lo svincolo. Ausilio, a inizio giugno, si era mostrato molto sereno dato che per Cristian Chivu il giocatore è fondamentale e preferisce averlo un anno in più e poi perderlo a zero, rispetto a guadagnarci qualche milione adesso e cercare un sostituto. Alla luce di ciò, i discorsi per una possibile partenza di Calha sono rimandati all’anno prossimo, quando i suoi agenti incontreranno la società nerazzurra per discutere i termini del contratto.

Arrivato nell’estate del 2021 al posto di Christian Eriksen, il turco ha impiegato pochissimo tempo a entrare nel cuore dei tifosi interisti, probabilmente già nel primo derby di Milano mettendo a segno il rigore del momentaneo 1-0 con annessa esultanza sotto la curva rossonera. In questi anni Hakan ha rappresentato tutto ciò di cui il reparto centrale della Beneamata aveva bisogno: un giocatore capace di ricoprire il ruolo sia di mezz’ala e sia di mediano, trasformazione realizzata da Simone Inzaghi. Questo ha permesso alla società di avere già in casa il post Marcelo Brozovic, portando Calha a diventare uno dei migliori d’Europa in quel ruolo. Ma c’è un dato in particolare che il centrocampista ex Milan ha migliorato: i gol da fuori area. 50 reti totali con la maglia nerazzurra, di cui almeno 15 provenienti da tiri dalla distanza. Un calciatore che, arrivato in circostanze spiacevoli, ha saputo cogliere l’occasione fino a raggiungere il top della sua carriera.

L’ultimo campionato, dominato dalla squadra di Cristian Chivu, ha visto un Hakan Calhanoglu determinante come non mai. Lo testimoniano anche i numeri: 9 gol e 4 assist da mediano e con solo 22 partite disputate in Serie A. Dati che fanno emergere, però, un problema su cui l’Inter si sta già tutelando: le 22 partite giocate non sono solo frutto del turnover, ma soprattutto di una serie di problemi fisici che hanno tormentato il giocatore nerazzurro per tutto l’anno. Quasi 3 mesi di assenza che hanno rischiato di pesare notevolmente sul rendimento della squadra. Chivu ha saputo, però, gestire bene la situazione adattando Piotr Zieliński in un ruolo non suo, interpretato con ottimi risultati grazie soprattutto alla qualità tecnica del polacco. La questione legata alla forma fisica non è un tema certamente da sottovalutare e proprio per questo l’Inter ha subito trovato in casa l’alternativa a un Calha praticamente insostituibile: Alexsandar Stanković, classe 2005 e futura stella della mediana nerazzurra.
