Il polverone sollevato da Inter-Juventus non accenna a diradarsi anche a distanza di 118 giorni e esattamente 2.832 ore. Al centro della tempesta c’è sempre lui, Alessandro Bastoni, finito nel mirino della critica per il contatto con Kalulu che è costato il rosso al difensore bianconero. Accuse di simulazione, moviole radiografate e un clima pesantissimo che ha accompagnato il centrale nerazzurro anche nelle trasferte successive. A fare da scudo al giocatore ci ha pensato Cristian Chivu che, in una lunga chiacchierata con Ivan Zazzaroni nell'intervista del Corriere dello Sport, ha svuotato il sacco senza troppi giri di parole. L'allenatore ha ammesso di essersi trovato in una posizione scomoda, quasi un cortocircuito comunicativo, per via di alcune dichiarazioni rilasciate proprio alla vigilia del match.
Il precedente delle scuse
"La cosa difficile è stata che avevo fatto quella dichiarazione il giorno prima... Mi sono pentito, dovevo usare un 'forse'. Poi è successo quel che è accaduto e avevo due strade: o difendere le mie parole o difendere il mio giocatore. Ho scelto la seconda, era la cosa giusta" ha spiegato Chivu, sottolineando come la reazione mediatica sia andata totalmente “oltre le ragioni e il calcio”. Il tutto in una situazione delicata per il ragazzo, il quale ha creato un precedente esclusivo, ovvero scusarsi in pubblica piazza. Gesto, che Bastoni ha svolto ma tutti gli altri giocatori della Serie A, non nuove conoscenze delle simulazioni, non hanno mai compiuto.
Chivu: “Non si aspettavano una vittoria dell'Inter”
Secondo Chivu, dietro la rabbia collettiva per l'episodio di Bastoni non c'è una sincera ricerca della giustizia sportiva, ma un bel po' di frustrazione legata al risultato della partita. Una tesi buttata giù in modo molto diretto: "Io lo so perché è successo tutto questo: perché tutti si aspettavano che l'Inter non vincesse. Giravano un po' i maroni a tante persone. Visto che i big match non li avevamo ancora vinti, si era creata la narrativa che l'Inter non avrebbe vinto. E invece le cose sono andate diversamente".
Chvu: “Per me non è simulazione”
Il tecnico non ha nascosto che il contraccolpo psicologico sul difensore c'è stato, anche se il ragazzo è stato bravo a mascherarlo: "Ha sofferto tanto, ma non lo ha fatto vedere ai compagni, che si sono stretti intorno a lui. Però fa impressione andare a Lecce o a Como e sentire tutto lo stadio che ti fischia. Solo lui e la sua famiglia sanno cosa ha passato dentro". Entrando nel merito del contatto con Kalulu, Chivu dà una lettura che va oltre la dinamica del singolo fermoimmagine, assegnando le colpe sulla rigidità del protocollo tecnologico: "Per me non è simulazione, e continuo a dirlo. Non è colpa di Bastoni e nemmeno dell'arbitro, il problema è il regolamento del VAR. Dal campo sembrava un fallo netto a tutti, persino ad alcuni giocatori della Juve che si sono girati arrabbiati. Poi, d'accordo, il tocco è leggero e forse Kalulu non meritava il secondo giallo, ma la mano allungata c'era e Bastoni ha esagerato. Solo chi non ha mai giocato a questi livelli non capisce l'impatto emotivo di un Inter-Juve".
Chivu: “Mai visto un accanimento del genere”
Ed è proprio verso chi il campo lo ha masticato che Chivu lancia la stoccata più dura, condannando l'atteggiamento di molti opinionisti ed ex calciatori saliti in cattedra a fare la morale: "Mi ha dato un fastidio enorme sentire ex giocatori parlarne come se fosse una vergogna assoluta. Ma se ci siamo passati tutti! Se in una partita del genere hai la possibilità di 'imbrogliare' o trarre un vantaggio, fai di tutto pur di vincere. Sono cose che succedono da anni nel calcio, ma un accanimento come quello che ha subito Ale non l'avevo mai visto prima, e non si è visto nemmeno dopo per episodi simili". Chivu squarcia il velo dell’ipocrisia calcistica: il problema non è il millimetro di simulazione o l’errore del VAR, ma il fastidio di un copione saltato. Difendendo Bastoni, il tecnico ricorda a tutti che il calcio, a certi livelli, è fatto anche di furbizia ed emozioni forti, e che trasformare un normale episodio di campo in una caccia all'uomo sa molto di frustrazione infelice.

Then, okay, the touch is light and perhaps Kalulu didn't deserve the second yellow, but the hand was outstretched and Bastoni exaggerated.
