Oggi il mondo interista celebra il compleanno del “Principe” del Bernal, uno degli attaccanti più amati della storia nerazzurra, un uomo che con i suoi gol ha scritto alcune delle pagine più emozionanti e gloriose mai vissute dall’Inter.
Sono passati sedici anni da quella stagione irripetibile del 2010, eppure il ricordo di Milito continua a brillare con la stessa intensità di allora. Non potrebbe essere altrimenti. Perché quando si parla del Triplete conquistato dalla squadra di José Mourinho, il pensiero corre inevitabilmente a quel numero 22 elegante, silenzioso e letale che trasformava ogni occasione in una sentenza.
Dal Genoa alla vittoria in Champions con l’Inter
Arrivato dal Genoa nell’estate del 2009, accolto da qualche fisiologica riserva, legata all’età e al salto verso una squadra chiamata a vincere tutto, Milito impiegò pochissimo tempo per conquistare il cuore dei tifosi e la fiducia assoluta del suo allenatore. Mourinho vide immediatamente in lui ciò che molti ancora non avevano compreso: un attaccante totale, capace di lavorare per la squadra, sacrificarsi, dialogare con i compagni e soprattutto, decidere le partite che contavano davvero.

Tornato in patria, ha intrapreso un percorso dirigenziale nel suo amato Racing Club, contribuendo alla crescita della società che lo aveva visto muovere i primi passi da professionista e continuando a trasmettere alle nuove generazioni quei valori di serietà, passione e appartenenza che hanno sempre contraddistinto la sua carriera.
