Presso il teatro Regio di Parma è nata la Serie A 2026/2027: Inter impegnata al debutto contro il neopromosso Monza, nel weekend tra il 22 e 23 agosto. Nella sfida di San Siro potrebbe esserci Francesco Acerbi (non con i soliti colori nerazzurri), ma da avversario, dato che i brianzoli sarebbero sulle sue tracce. I biancorossi però dovrebbero superare l’ostacolo Genoa, altro club interessato al numero 15.
Monza e Genoa osservano
Il difensore azzurro lascerà la società meneghina considerato il contratto in scadenza a giugno, diventando così un’occasione sul mercato. Attualmente, il Monza avrebbe un leggero vantaggio nel testa a testa col Genoa per due ragioni: il 38enne preferirebbe rimanere in Lombardia, senza dimenticare il fattore Pastorello (agente dell’ex Lazio, ma anche di Obiang e Cutrone). I biancorossi, dopo aver centrato la promozione nel massimo campionato italiano, vorrebbero restarci, magari puntellando la difesa di elementi esperti da affiancare a Delli Carri o Carboni.
Il Grifone invece, reduce da un sedicesimo posto, ha intenzione di rinforzare una retroguardia già abbastanza solida (formata da Vasquez, Ostigard, Marcandalli), così da proseguire l’ottimo cammino targato De Rossi.
Nei mesi precedenti, si era vociferato un trasferimento del classe ‘88 all’Al-Hilal di Simone Inzaghi, poi però la trattativa non è decollata.
Quadriennio memorabile
Arrivato nel 2022 tra lo scetticismo generale per l’età avanzata (all’epoca la carta d'identità recitava 34 anni), Acerbi partita dopo partita si è preso la scena diventando un punto fermo del terzetto difensivo nerazzurro. Fisicità e anticipo sull’avversario hanno contraddistinto il percorso dell’ex Sassuolo, capace di fermare attaccanti illustri tra cui Erling Haaland, durante la finale di Champions League nel 2023 persa con il Manchester City.
Oltre alle chiusure, dai tifosi viene ricordato per reti pesanti: indimenticabile il gol al Milan (aprile 2024) nel derby che ha decretato la seconda stella, ma ancora più celebre la rete contro il Barcellona (maggio 2025) in pieno recupero nella semifinale di Champions, permettendo al Biscione di prolungare il match ai supplementari (decisivo Frattesi per il 4-3 finale).

L’ultima passerella è stata lo scorso 17 maggio in occasione della premiazione scudetto, dove Francesco ha potuto dare l’ultimo saluto al pubblico interrompendo un percorso caratterizzato da 148 presenze, 5 gol e 5 assist. Quattro anni magnifici arricchiti da 2 campionati, 3 Coppe Italia e 2 Supercoppe Nazionali. Nel 2025/2026 sotto la guida di Chivu, il minutaggio si è ridotto (collezionando solamente 26 gettoni), ma il centrale milanese ha comunque sempre risposto presente.
Acerbi attende di conoscere la prossima (e forse ultima) destinazione della sua carriera.

Arriving in 2022 amidst general skepticism due to his advanced age (at the time his identity card read 34 years old), Acerbi took center stage game after game, becoming a cornerstone of the Nerazzurri defensive trio. Physicality and anticipation over the opponent have characterized the path of the former Sassuolo player, capable of stopping illustrious attackers including Erling Haaland, during the 2023 Champions League final lost to Manchester City. In addition to the closures, he is remembered by the fans for heavy goals: the unforgettable goal against Milan (April 2024) in the derby which decreed the second star, but even more famous the goal against Barcelona (May 2025) in full injury time in the Champions League semi-final, allowing the Biscione to extend the match to extra time (Frattesi was decisive for the 4-3 final).
