Si conclude con una sola capolista il quinto turno di Liga. Quest'ultima è il Barcellona di Hansi Flick, unica squadra a punteggio pieno dopo 4 gare. Nel weekend i blaugrana hanno sconfitto il Valencia in trasferta, con il risultato larghissimo di 0-5. A stappare la partita è stato Lamine Yamal dopo 6 minuti, al quale si è unito Fermin Lopez al 22'. Con il doppio vantaggio il Barça ha poi gestito fino al termine del primo tempo. Nella seconda frazione poi ecco altre tre reti. Con gli avversari un po' scoperti e arrendevoli Raphinha, Pedri e di nuovo Yamal hanno arrotondato il punteggio e dato una grandissima dimostrazione di forza. 4 partite, 12 punti e tanta consapevolezza di propri mezzi: il Barcellona arriva così alla prima settimana di calcio europeo.
Mou cade con il Betis
Arriva la prima dolorosa sconfitta per José Mourinho in questo nuovo corso da allenatore del Real Madrid. Il club della capitale è uscito battuto per 1-0 dal campo del Betis, grazie alla rete all'81' di Troy Parrott. L'episodio più discusso è sicuramente relativo a quanto successo dopo il rigore sbagliato da Kylian Mbappé nei minuti finali. Il portiere della squadra di casa, Valles, ha parato il rigore al francese, per poi esultargli in faccia dopo che la palla è terminata in angolo. I blancos hanno poi protestato per l'ingresso prematuro di Bartra in area di rigore: il penalty non era però da ripetere, in quanto il difensore non aveva i piedi poggiati a terra al momento del tiro. L'ex Barcellona ha sfruttato così in piano una “zona grigia” del regolamento, arrivando prima sulla ribattuta e regalando di fatto la vittoria ai suoi.

Over the weekend the Blaugrana defeated Valencia away, with a very wide result of 0-5. It was Lamine Yamal who opened the game after 6 minutes, who was joined by Fermin Lopez in the 22nd minute.
