Per l'Inter sta per iniziare una settimana a dir poco infuocata: i nerazzurri sfideranno il Napoli a San Siro sabato alle 18 e soli tre giorni dopo il Real a Madrid. Due partite dal notevole peso specifico, che affrontate all'inizio della stagione possono già dare molte indicazioni sul futuro degli uomini di Chivu in Campionato ed in Champions League e faranno capire se l'Inter è pronta a confrontarsi immediatamente con le grandi.
La prima contro il Napoli di Allegri
Sabato 5 settembre, ore 18: al Meazza si gioca Inter-Napoli. I partenopei, sotto la guida di Massimiliano Allegri hanno battuto il Genoa per 2 a 0, ma sono stati sconfitti in casa dal Como. L'Inter, nelle prime due di Campionato, ha raggranellato sei punti, vincendo sia contro il Monza (con un largo 4 a 1) che contro il Cagliari (siglando soltanto una rete, a fronte di una miriade di occasioni da gol create). Per i nerazzurri quello di sabato sarà il primo vero scontro diretto della stagione, contro una squadra che punta al Campionato. E sarà scontro anche tra Chivu e Allegri: l'energia e le idee del tecnico rumeno contro l'esperienza ed il pragmatismo del toscano. Inter-Napoli sarà un confronto diretto tra due delle principali rivali per il vertice, e un'occasione per capire quanto i nerazzurri siano già pronti per sostenere il ritmo delle grandi sfide. Un test di personalità, condizione e solidità perché contro una squadra come il Napoli ogni dettaglio può fare la differenza. Ora, a distanza di 16 anni, lo Special One è tornato sulla panchina delle Merengues e si ritroverà per la prima volta in Champions League da avversario dell'Inter. Il destino ha voluto che il suo ritorno europeo si incrociasse subito con la squadra nerazzurra. Per una notte, i ricordi dovranno lasciare spazio alla competizione. Mou proverà a battere l'Inter per dare subito un segnale forte al suo nuovo Real Madrid, i nerazzurri cercheranno di partire con il piede giusto anche in Champions. Oltre a Josè Mourinho, gli uomini di Chivu incontreranno anche Denzel Dumfries, trasferitosi in estate proprio a Madrid dopo cinque stagioni in nerazzurro. Il bilancio con l'Inter dell'esterno olandese racconta molto della sua importanza e incisività: 207 partite, 27 gol, 28 assist e otto trofei.
