Il futuro di Pio Esposito è sempre più a tinte nerazzurre. Il giocatore, come anticipato negli scorsi giorni, si è presentato in sede per mettere la firma sul rinnovo di contratto con l'Inter e mettere nero su bianco l'accordo da tre milioni a stagione che lo legherà ai nerazzurri sino al 2032. “Sono contento, è un traguardo importante però non ci accontentiamo, andiamo avanti a lavorare come stiamo facendo” ha detto.

Non più tardi di qualche settimana fa, l'agente di Pio Esposito, Mario Giuffredi, si era sbilanciato sulla permanenza del ragazzo in nerazzurro: "È inutile creare fantasmi, Pio è felice all’Inter e credo che resterà lì per tanti anni: la volontà del ragazzo è questa. Non creiamo finte aspettative di mercato. È un club che lo ha protetto, lo ha instradato bene nel suo percorso: Pio vuole migliorare i numeri fatti quest’anno. Il contratto di Esposito
Sulla carta, la situazione contrattuale di Pio Esposito era più che definita. Il giocatore era legato ai nerazzurri da un accordo sino addirittura al 2030, per poco più di un milione di euro a stagione. Si tratta, però, di un accordo che risaliva allo scorso anno (l'ufficialità è arrivata nel Maggio del 2025), quando lo status del giocatore era ben differente. Nel frattempo, infatti, Pio Esposito è entrato a far parte della rosa della prima squadra grazie ad un importante precampionato, è poi riuscito a suon di prestazioni a conquistarsi il suo spazio nelle rotazioni confermandosi attaccante di prospettiva, ma anche di affidabilità nel presente, e ha vinto, anche grazie al suo importante contributo, Campionato e Coppa Italia. Proprio per questo, come attestato di stima e premio alla sua crescita, l'Inter nonostante la lunga scadenza si è seduta al tavolo per rivedere il contratto del giocatore, premiando la stagione di Esposito con un primo aumento, e spostando ancora più in là il termine del contratto. Il nuovo accordo prevede una scadenza al 2031 con ingaggio alzato a 3 milioni di euro l’anno più bonus.
