Si susseguono le voci di una possibilità che Robinho Jr, figlio dell' ex calciatore brasiliano Robinho, (che ha militato nel Manchester City, Real Madrid, Milan) potrebbe essere chiamato dal commissario tecnico Roberto Mancini per la nazionale azzurra.
Avendo la mamma italiana è in possesso di un doppio passaporto. Il classe 2007, non esclude l' eventualità di vestire la maglia azzurra ed è atteso in Italia per svolgere l' iter burocratico al fine di ottenerlo.
Intanto il ragazzo si avvicina a vestire la maglia del Genoa, che ha deciso di puntare su di lui per il futuro.

Junior come il padre è cresciuto nelle giovanili del Santos, storico club brasiliano uno fra i più titolati, nel 2024 firma il suo primo contratto coi professionisti con una clausola da 50 milioni.
Dall'anno scorso, il diciottenne, ha debuttato per i grandi totalizzando 12 presenze con una media di quindici minuti a partita, anche per questo ha chiesto più spazio; il Genoa ed altri club brasiliani hanno fatto dei sondaggi senza affondare, il Santos lo vuole cedere solo in prestito.
Lui d'altronde vorrebbe emulare le gesta del padre, difatti fanno anche lo stesso ruolo, attaccante esterno, ed in quella la posizione sfoggia le sue caratteristiche molto simili al papà, d'altronde buon sangue non mente.
Alto 170 centimetri, dribbling fulminei, inserimenti, tecnica sopraffina e quella qualità di calciare con entrambi i piedi che li permettono di giocare sia a destra che a sinistra.

Come risaputo il ct azzurro è bravissimo a scovare e valorizzare giocatori, vedi Balotelli, Retegui, anche lui oriundo, per citarne alcuni. Nel 4-3-3 manciniano il figlio d'arte ci starebbe bene ma ovviamente la giovane età spinge la federazione italiana a chiamarlo sì ma per le nazionali inferiori, per farlo crescere con l'auspicio che un giorno lo vedremo vestire quella dei grandi.
Ci sarà bisogno di tempo e la sua giovanissima età li permette di crescere ancora di più ed affinare quelle doti, che già ad oggi, illuminano gli occhi nel vederlo giocare.
