Allegri’s Juventus took advantage of the Serie A championship break for the Inter Super Cup to overtake the Nerazzurri at the top of the table.

The Bianconeri beat Lecce 3-0 at the Via del Mare, in a match dominated from the first to the last minute. The first half characterised by a lot of physicality and little quality, with Lecce trying to resist Juve’s assaults and came close to scoring with a McKennie header, save by Krstovic on the line.

In the second half, however, Juve upped the tempo and displayed all their class and talent. The absolute star is Vlahovic, who score a brace in the 59th and 68th minutes, bringing his season tally to 18 goals.

The third goal came in the 85th minute with Bremer, who took advantage of a Chiesa corner and beat Gabriel’s header. With this victory, Juve rose to 52 points and momentarily moved to +1 on Inter, who will face Napoli in the Super Cup final. Lecce, on the other hand, remain on 23 points and are in a delicate position in the standings.

Genoa overturns Salernitana and complicates salvation in Serie A

Gilardino’s Genoa showed character and determination, overturning the result at home to last-placed Salernitana.

The granata had taken the lead after just two minutes through Martegani, who took advantage of an assist from Bradaric. But the Grifone do not let themselves be intimidated and equalise in the 13th minute with Retegui, who found the winning left-footer from a Zappacosta cross.

In the second half, Genoa completed the comeback thanks to a penalty awarded by Gudmundsson in the 58th minute, awarded for a hand foul in the box by Lovato. With this success, Genoa climbed to 25 points and moved away from the relegation zone, while Salernitana remained on 12 points and seemed doomed.
