E adesso che la Ferrari sta provando a rimettersi in corsa per il titolo piloti di F1 su chi dovrà puntare? Perché se è vero che chi vince a Barcellona poi, nella maggior parte delle volte, si laurea campione del mondo a fine stagione, allora potrebbe essere la volta buona per la Rossa. E' successo con otto delle ultime dieci scuderie e perché non potrebbe accadere anche quest'anno? Certo, c'è un regolamento tecnico tutto nuovo che sembra poter cambiare le carte in tavola da GP a GP e in Catalogna ci ha messo lo zampino un pizzico di fortuna, ma l'impressione è che a Maranello abbiano davvero imboccato la strada giusta. Poi, la Mercedes è ancora davanti, ma il suo vantaggio si è decisamente assottigliato e Toto Wolff inizia a sentire un po' di pressione.
Con ancora ben quindici gare da disputare tutto è resta apertissimo, ma forse Vasseur dovrebbe iniziare a ragionare sulla possibilità di assegnare a Lewis Hamilton il ruolo di prima guida. L'inglese è il primo degli inseguitori a 41 punti dal leader Antonelli, mentre Charles Leclerc si trova a già a -81. Praticamente un distacco doppio rispetto a quello del compagno di squadra. E visto che ogni punto potrebbe essere decisivo…
Sir Lewis è in palla, lo si è visto, e finora non ha mai fatto peggio di sesto, salendo sul podio altre tre volte oltre al successo spagnolo.
Non una decisione facile quella della Ferrari, che da una parte ha un sette volte campione del mondo, ma solo alla sua seconda stagione in rosso, mentre dall'alta si ritrova con un fedelissimo, che ha appena rinnovato a lunga scadenza e che ha vissuto sulla sua pelle tutti questi anni così difficili. Relegarlo al ruolo di "vice", chiedendogli di aiutare Hamilton, sarebbe l'ennesima mazzata, che potrebbe far precipitare in un baratro il monegasco.
I tifosi, però, sono stanchi di aspettare un titolo che manca dal 2007, quando festeggiarono il trionfo di Raikkonen. Ed è forse arrivato il momento di mettere da parte il cuore e far decidere alla ragione, puntando tutto sul 44.
