A distanza di settimane dal derby della Mole dello scorso 24 maggio, uno degli episodi più drammatici di quella giornata torna al centro dell'attenzione. La Procura di Torino ha infatti impresso una svolta significativa alle indagini sul grave ferimento del tifoso juventino Marco Basoccu, raggiunto alla testa da un lacrimogeno all'esterno dello stadio Grande Torino e ricoverato per settimane in terapia intensiva. Un'inchiesta complessa che tra immagini, testimonianze e consulenze tecniche, ha portato alla richiesta degli arresti domiciliari per un agente del Reparto Mobile.

Il lavoro investigativo coordinato dalla Procura di Torino ha permesso di ricostruire con precisione la dinamica di quanto accaduto prima del fischio d'inizio di Torino-Juventus. Secondo quanto riferito dagli inquirenti, il lacrimogeno che ha colpito Basoccu sarebbe stato esploso ad altezza d'uomo da un operatore del V Reparto Mobile impegnato nei servizi di ordine pubblico. Un comportamento non conforme alle procedure previste, tanto da spingere il procuratore Giovanni Bombardieri e il sostituto Paolo Scafi a richiedere nei confronti dell'agente la misura cautelare degli arresti domiciliari con l'accusa di lesioni aggravate.
Determinanti sono stati i filmati acquisiti dagli impianti di videosorveglianza pubblici e privati, dalle immagini raccolte tramite droni e dalle numerose testimonianze, comprese quelle di altri operatori di polizia presenti sul posto. L'agente è già comparso davanti al Gip per l'interrogatorio preventivo previsto dalla normativa e ora si attende la decisione del giudice sulla richiesta cautelare. La stessa Procura ci ha tenuto comunque a ribadire, come previsto dall'ordinamento e considerando la risonanza mediatica del caso, che il procedimento si trova ancora nella fase delle indagini preliminari e che vale pienamente il principio della presunzione di innocenza fino a un'eventuale sentenza definitiva.
Le parole di Basoccu: "Poteva capitare a chiunque"
Parallelamente agli sviluppi giudiziari, sono arrivate anche le parole dello stesso Marco Basoccu dopo le dimissioni dall'ospedale. Il tifoso bianconero ha raccontato di stare cercando di recuperare gradualmente la normalità, pur dovendo affrontare ancora le conseguenze di quanto accaduto. "Vivo alla giornata e aspetto sviluppi. Spero diventi un brutto ricordo", ha spiegato, aggiungendo di soffrire ancora di sporadici mal di testa e di dover affrontare un nuovo intervento chirurgico programmato per settembre.
In questi giorni Basoccu ha ricevuto anche la telefonata del presidente della Juventus, Gianluca Ferrero, che gli ha espresso la vicinanza del club e gli ha augurato una pronta e completa guarigione. Tra le frasi più significative resta soprattutto quella con cui ha sottolineato come "poteva capitare a chiunque", un pensiero che, ha ammesso, lo spaventa persino più dell'accaduto stesso. Per il momento, inoltre, ha escluso un ritorno allo stadio: "Non me la sento, sono ancora troppo scosso".
Molto dure anche le dichiarazioni del padre Pier Luigi, che ha commentato la richiesta della Procura esprimendo amarezza soprattutto per il comportamento che, a suo giudizio, avrebbe tenuto l'agente coinvolto. "Mi sarei aspettato una confessione spontanea", ha dichiarato all'ANSA, aggiungendo che chi svolge un ruolo così delicato dovrebbe assumersi le proprie responsabilità davanti a un episodio tanto grave.

The Turin Prosecutor's Office has in fact made a significant turning point in the investigation into the serious injury of the Juventus fan Marco Basoccu, who was hit in the head by a tear gas canister outside the Grande Torino stadium and hospitalized for weeks in intensive care. A complex investigation which, between images, testimonies and technical advice, led to the request for house arrest for an agent of the Mobile Department.

The investigative work coordinated by the Turin Prosecutor's Office made it possible to precisely reconstruct the dynamics of what happened before the kick-off of the Turin-Juventus match. According to what was reported by the investigators, the tear gas canister that hit Basoccu would have been exploded at eye level by an operator of the V Mobile Department engaged in public order services. A behavior that does not comply with the established procedures, so much so that it pushed the prosecutor Giovanni Bombardieri and the deputy Paolo Scafi to request the precautionary measure of house arrest against the agent on charges of aggravated injuries.
The videos acquired by public and private video surveillance systems, the images collected via drones and the numerous testimonies, including those of other police operators present on site, were decisive. The agent has already appeared before the investigating judge for the preventive interrogation required by law and the judge's decision on the precautionary request is now awaited. However, the Prosecutor's Office itself was keen to reiterate, as required by law and considering the media coverage of the case, that the proceedings are still in the preliminary investigation phase and that the principle of the presumption of innocence fully applies until a possible final sentence.

The Juventus fan said he was trying to gradually recover normality, despite still having to deal with the consequences of what happened. "I live day by day and await developments. I hope it becomes a bad memory", he explained, adding that he still suffers from sporadic headaches and that he has to face a new surgery scheduled for September. In recent days Basoccu also received a phone call from the president of Juventus, Gianluca Ferrero, who expressed the club's closeness to him and wished him a speedy and complete recovery. Among the most significant sentences is the one with which he underlined how "it could happen to anyone", a thought which, he admitted, scares him even more than the event itself. Furthermore, for the moment he has ruled out a return to the stadium: "I don't feel like it, I'm still too shaken."
The statements of father Pier Luigi were also very harsh, commenting on the Prosecutor's request by expressing bitterness above all for the behavior that, in his opinion, the agent involved would have had. "I would have expected a spontaneous confession", he told ANSA, adding that anyone who plays such a delicate role should assume their responsibilities in the face of such a serious episode. Words that tell the human side of an affair destined to continue in the courtroom while the family continues to wait for full light to be shed on what happened before that derby which, for them, will remain inextricably linked to a near tragedy.
