Le reazioni del team manager della Mercedes e degli altri piloti alla vittoria di Lewis a Barcellona
Lewis Hamilton porta la Ferrari sul gradino più alto del podio a Barcellona e ottiene la prima vittoria in rosso da quando, un anno e mezzo fa, è approdato a Maranello. A chiudere le prime tre posizioni George Russell, secondo con la Mercedes, e Lando Norris, terzo con la McLaren. Nelle interviste post gara, i due connazionali del pilota britannico e il suo ex team manager, Toto Wolff, hanno speso parole di stima per il numero 44.
Nonostante il passaggio in rosso, Toto Wolff rimane uno dei più grandi ammiratori di Hamilton: "Ho sempre detto che quando non siamo noi a vincere, voglio che sia Lewis a farlo. Sono contento per lui e per la Ferrari. Rivale per il titolo? Assolutamente sì, va veloce e ha una forza mentale straordinaria. Ho lavorato con lui per 12 anni, lo conosco bene". Il team principal della Mercedes si è poi espresso sul ritiro di Antonelli: "Perdere macchine in questo modo è inaccettabile. Russell a Montreal ha perso 25 punti, oggi Kimi 18. Per vincere bisogna finire le gare, non basta la velocità. Sono molto arrabbiato per come ce la siamo giocata, oggi abbiamo perso due volte. Non facciamo ordini di scuderia, ma in questo modo abbiamo perso la gara. Adesso dobbiamo capire come gestirla in futuro".
Ai complimenti si è aggiunto il suo ex compagno di squadra, George Russell: "Congratulazioni di cuore a Hamilton, lavora sodo e se lo merita davvero". L'inglese si è poi concentrato sul secondo posto conquistato dopo settimane difficili: "È bello tornare sul podio e aver fatto una gara senza intoppi, ma oggi la Ferrari è stata fortissima, quindi dobbiamo continuare a dare il massimo. Il ritmo di Lewis oggi era pazzesco, credo che stiano arrivando".
Infine, anche il campione del mondo in carica si è complimentato con il connazionale. Queste le parole di Lando Norris: "Prima di tutto voglio congratularmi con Lewis, sono felice per te, amico". Analizzando la gara, il pilota McLaren ha aggiunto: "Siamo stati un po' fortunati con il ritiro di Antonelli, ma ci serve anche questo. Dobbiamo continuare a lavorare sodo e a impegnarci al massimo.

The reactions of the Mercedes team manager and the other drivers to Lewis' victory in Barcelona
Lewis Hamilton takes Ferrari to the top step of the podium in Barcelona and achieves the first victory in red since he arrived in Maranello a year and a half ago. Closing out the top three positions are George Russell, second with Mercedes, and Lando Norris, third with McLaren. In post-race interviews, the British driver's two compatriots and his former team manager, Toto Wolff, spent words of esteem for the number 44.
Despite the switch to red, Toto Wolff remains one of Hamilton's biggest admirers: "I've always said that when we don't win, I want Lewis to do it. I'm happy for him and for Ferrari. Rival for the title? Absolutely, he goes fast and has extraordinary mental strength. I've worked with him for 12 years, I know him well." The Mercedes team principal then expressed his opinion on Antonelli's withdrawal: "Losing cars in this way is unacceptable. Russell lost 25 points in Montreal, today Kimi 18. To win you have to finish the races, speed is not enough. I'm very angry about how we played, today we lost twice. We don't give team orders, but in this way we lost the race. Now we have to understand how to manage it in the future."
His former teammate, George Russell, added to the compliments: "Heartfelt congratulations to Hamilton, he works hard and really deserves it." The Englishman then focused on the second place achieved after difficult weeks: "It's nice to be back on the podium and to have had a problem-free race, but Ferrari were very strong today, so we have to continue to give our all. Lewis' pace today was crazy, I think they're on their way."
Finally, the reigning world champion also complimented his compatriot. These are the words of Lando Norris: "First of all I want to congratulate Lewis, I'm happy for you, mate." Analyzing the race, the McLaren driver added: "We were a bit lucky with Antonelli's retirement, but we need this too. We need to continue to work hard and give our all.
