Adams e compagni hanno voglia di riconfermarsi, dopo l’ottimo cammino nella scorsa edizione concluso ai quarti, davanti all’Inter futuro vincitore del torneo. Nel frattempo, il d.s. Gianluca Petrachi sta lavorando sul mercato per regalare al nuovo tecnico Ignazio Abate rinforzi importanti. Tra i nomi sondati, ci sarebbe Matteo Cancellieri della Lazio.
Cancellieri lascia la Lazio?
La società piemontese lo stava seguendo da tempo e adesso sembrerebbe intenzionata ad affondare il colpo. Sicuramente le notizie provenienti dalla Capitale hanno lanciato un chiaro segnale: il calciatore potrebbe salutare Roma durante questa sessione estiva, considerando un contratto in scadenza a giugno 2027 (rinnovo al momento un miraggio).
Dunque, il patron Lotito tenendo conto del rischio di perdere l’ex Parma a zero, ascolterebbe eventuali offerte (aspetto gradito dal Toro, consapevole di strappare il ragazzo ad una cifra comunque bassa, tra i 6 e gli 8 milioni di euro). Petrachi vorrebbe cercare di accelerare le pratiche, cosi da bloccare l’interesse mostrato da altre squadre, tra cui Fiorentina e Olympiakos.
Cancellieri, l’ala ideale
Osservando il suo identikit, il classe 2002 sarebbe perfetto nel gioco di Abate. Dribbling, velocità, senza dimenticare la duttilità: Matteo giocherebbe tranquillamente in tutte le posizioni sulla trequarti, svariando da destra a sinistra (pur essendo un mancino). Nel 3-4-2-1 pensato dal tecnico campano, il numero 22 occuperebbe uno dei due slot del tandem offensivo, alle spalle della punta.
Nonostante la travagliata stagione della Lazio (conclusa senza qualificazione alle Coppe Europee), l’esterno romano è stato tra i pochi a brillare. 4 gol e 2 assist in 35 presenze complessive. Un vero jolly poiché quando ha fornito dei bonus, i biancocelesti non hanno mai perso (3 successi e 1 pareggio).
Toro, vittima preferita
Il club granata durante la carriera ha portato fortuna al 24enne: 9 incroci in Serie A, dove però salta all’occhio il numero delle reti, ben 3. Tutto era cominciato ad aprile 2024, quando Cancellieri segnò il momentaneo 2-1 dell’Empoli (gara vinta 3-2 dai toscani), per poi ripetersi lo scorso ottobre con una pesante doppietta nel rocambolesco 3-3 tra la Lazio e gli uomini di Baroni.
La squadra spesso punita incredibilmente potrebbe diventare la nuova meta del classe 2002.
