La nuova stagione del Napoli sta per iniziare. Il mercato stenta ancora a decollare, complice la necessità del club azzurro di effettuare alcune cessioni prima di poter operare in entrata. Questo scoglio è sicuramente il fattore che ha avvicinato in maniera decisiva Mario Gila al Milan e Anan Khalaili all'Inter. Di questo e altro ha parlato Aurelio De Laurentiis, presidente dei partenopei, all'evento di lancio della nuova maglia celebrativa per il centenario del club.
De Laurentiis: “ Contento di Allegri, andremo d'accordo”
Il patron prima di tutto si è espresso sul nuovo tecnico, Massimiliano Allegri: “Sono contento e fiero di aver dato continuità scegliendo un allenatore che ha vinto moltissimo in Italia e che ha raggiunto due finali di Champions. Il signor Allegri è anche un aziendalista, andremo molto d'accordo”. Dopo anni di spese ingenti sotto la gestione Conte è ora per il Napoli di guardare ai conti e tornare ad operare come fatto negli anni precedenti con Spalletti e Garcia.
Le difficoltà nel mercato
Ovviamente uno degli argomenti toccati da De Laurentiis è stato il calciomercato. Di questo ha parlato così: “Il Napoli ha 47 calciatori e deve piazzarne 25: una squadra di calcio ha dei ruoli, se si presentano dei buchi allora interveniamo col mercato, ma quando ne hai due o tre, uno deve prima ragionare con l’allenatore. Secondo me non dovremo comprare nessuno e ne dovremo tagliare molti”. Con queste parole ha precisato la profondità della rosa attuale, attualmente eccessiva. Molti giocatori sono fuori dal progetto (vedi Lucca), altri dovranno essere valutati in ritiro dal tecnico. In caso di necessità si ricorrerà al mercato, ma per il patron azzurro la rosa è già competitiva.
Torna poi dopo anni il discorso del “fatturato”, comparato a quello delle grandi squadre del nord Italia. De Laurentiis ha anche sottolineato quanto sia importante essere competitivi tenendo sotto controllo i conti del club: “Dovremmo trovare delle soluzioni che possano dare stabilità e forza anche al nostro club. Se non punteremo su questo aspetto, non avremo introiti necessari per essere competitivi con le squadre del Nord: Inter, Milan e Juventus fatturano molto di più. Il Napoli, come diceva il buon Conte, deve fatica', ma poi ci vogliono le strutture”.

L'ultimo grande tema su cui il patron ha espresso il suo pensiero è il nuovo stadio del Napoli. Sulla possibilità di mettere “la prima pietra” nel 2028 ha dichiarato: “Se non troverò ostacoli burocratici sul mio percorso, immagino proprio di sì. Ma questo è un Paese molto strano: i politici fanno politica guardando molto loro stessi allo specchio e nello specchio poche volte appaiono i cittadini. Questo riguarda tutta l'Europa e per questo amo gli Stati Uniti: perché c'è un grande rispetto per il successo”.

Obviously one of the topics touched upon by De Laurentiis was the transfer market. He spoke about this like this: "Napoli has 47 players and must place 25 of them: a football team has roles, if gaps arise then we intervene with the transfer market, but when you have two or three, one must first reason with the coach. In my opinion we won't have to buy anyone and we will have to cut many." With these words he specified the depth of the current squad, which is currently excessive. Many players are out of the project (see Lucca), others will have to be evaluated by the coach during training camp. If necessary, the transfer market will be used, but for the Italian boss the squad is already competitive.
Then, after years, the question of "turnover" returns, compared to that of the big teams in northern Italy. De Laurentiis also underlined how important it is to be competitive by keeping the club's accounts under control: "We should find solutions that can give stability and strength to our club too. If we don't focus on this aspect, we won't have the necessary income to be competitive with the teams from the North: Inter, Milan and Juventus have much more invoices. Napoli, as the good Conte said, must struggle, but then we need the structures."

The last major issue on which the patron expressed his thoughts is the new Napoli stadium. On the possibility of laying "the first stone" in 2028 he declared: "If I don't find bureaucratic obstacles in my path, I imagine so.
