The final catwalk: Bologna-Inter closes the year of the Double

The last dance. Bologna-Inter will be the last match of an extraordinary season for the Nerazzurri, a year that gave Chivu's men the historic Doblete.

A match, that of Dall'Ara, which will therefore have no meaning in terms of the standings but in which the Beneamata will still try to get the result to bid farewell to the 2025/2026 season in the best possible way.

Inter Festa Arena Civica

Lautaro and his teammates arrive at the match after weeks of celebrations with the last big day of celebration which was held on Thursday 21 May with first the umpteenth crowd for the official presentation of the new match kit which was also a way to once again raise the Scudetto and Italian Cup to the sky, then the afternoon spent at the Arena Civica was a moment of reunion for the Inter family with champions of the present and the past. An opportunity for all employees, youth teams and some fans to witness the training of the Italian Champions up close.

Assenti eccellenti in casa Inter

For the match against Bologna there will be some notable absentees among the Nerazzurri ranks. Chivu, fresh from being named best coach of the Serie A season, has in fact decided to release some national teams early who have already left for their home countries to begin preparation for the World Cup. Akanji, Dumfries, Calhanoglu and Thuram have left the Lombard capital. Still in the city and available to the group, however, is Captain Lautaro who doesn't want to miss a single thing. The match against the rossoblu is also an opportunity for him to put more and more minutes into his legs after the injury.

Le scelte di formazione

Chivu

The lineup is still uncertain, Sommer is likely to still be present between the posts for what could be his last match with the Nerazzurri shirt, as is Acerbi who should start from first in the center of defense accompanied by Bisseck and Bastoni. On the wings with Dumfries who has already made room for Luis Henrique on the right and Dimarco returns on the left: in the middle Zielinski will position himself in the control room with Barella and Sucic. In attack the starting pair should be Lautaro - Bonny.

However, the coach could decide to leave more space for those who have played less during the season and therefore revolutionize the cards on the table a bit. At the moment, however, there are still no certainties. More will certainly be discovered in the hours surrounding the race.

Bologna-Inter: i precedenti

Bologna Inter

An opponent, Bologna, who in recent years has always given the Nerazzurri a hard time and evoked bad memories and bad feelings but in this case it will be different.

Inter will look for the three points to end the season in the best possible way and will still try to chase the record of goals scored in Serie A this season. 89 is the number to overcome, 86 is the quota reached by the Nerazzurri with 90 minutes still to play. Not an easy goal but one that Belamata will try to achieve.

If we look at the latest precedents, a great balance reigns between the two teams: in the last eight matches between Bologna and Inter in Serie A, three wins on each side and two draws.
