At Milan, this is perhaps the decisive weekend of the season. Focus on the last day against Cagliari which could decide the Champions League qualification: close target considering the 70 points of the Devil (the same as Roma) followed by the Como-Juventus pair at 68, but it is forbidden to let your guard down. Competing in the top European competition would be of vital importance, after last year's eighth place, and would allow significant revenues to be invested in the market.
Not only the match on Sunday evening, in Via Aldo Rossi the attention is turned to the company's future with a fairly confusing management situation between possible departures: in the dock, the CEO Giorgio Furlani who is looming with the possibility of resignation loudly requested by the fans.

Reflections underway for the Rossoneri CEO who is reportedly thinking of a voluntary farewell. The continuous misunderstandings with the RedBird ownership on the transfer campaign would have convinced him to take a step back (the owner Gerry Cardinale still intends to make changes and even without resignation, the greetings of the class of '79 should arrive). The final break came on May 10, during the match between the Milanese team and Atalanta when the Curva Sud expressed its disappointment through a polemical banner aimed at the Lombard CEO with the words GFOUT.
An unwelcome message from the 46-year-old who was disappointed and therefore willing to satisfy the demands of the market, interrupting a journey that began in 2022.
Furlani's journey between light and shadow
To make up for the departures of Maldini and Massara in 2023, the owners had entrusted him with full powers on the transfer front, without however obtaining the desired effects. The first would be a sort of interim call, being a member of the Milanese board of directors and in close contact with Cardinale. His presence last Sunday at the Ferraris in Genoa did not go unnoticed.
The other two would allow for greater experience, having already been in the sector for several years: Carnevali, now a cornerstone of Sassuolo, would make the big leap, while Galliani would be a return with a romantic flavour. The Condor, the true protagonist of Berlusconi's epic, would offer a 360-degree knowledge of the Rossoneri world, finally returning to the track after 7 years (2018-2025) spent in Monza.
Clarity and competence, these are the imperatives of Milan fans: we will see if the owners will implement the requested line, with the hope of becoming competitive again.
