Capitan America pretende un ingaggio da 7 milioni, così da pareggiare quello di Leao, il calciatore più pagato in rosa. E' opinione diffusa che sia lui la punta di diamante del Milan, e per questa ragione chiede un lauto adeguamento dell'attuale contratto, in scadenza la prossima estate, ma con opzione di rinnovo da parte del club.
La felicità ritrovata negli Stati Uniti
Al contrario, dall'altra parte dell'oceano Pulisic sembra essere rinato. Il grande entusiasmo che circonda la Nazionale a stelle e strisce e la serenità ritrovata hanno fatto tornare il sorriso all'attaccante, apparso gioioso al termine della vittoria contro l'Australia, partita a cui comunque non ha preso parte per un fastidio al polpaccio ormai lasciato alle spalle.
L'unico gol segnato nell'anno solare è arrivato proprio vestendo la maglia degli USA, e non può essere un caso: lo statunitense avverte il bisogno di cambiare aria e di allontanarsi dalla negatività che si respira dalle parti di Milanello.
Il New York City studia la maxi offerta
Al momento, la squadra più brava a intercettare i bisogni di Capitan America è stato il New York City. Il club di proprietà del ricco City Group vorrebbe riportare negli Stati Uniti Pulisic, laddove è nato ma non ha mai giocato se non a livello giovanile. In base a quanto trapelato, l'offerta avanzata al giocatore sarebbe faraonica: un contratto quinquennale da 10 milioni di euro a stagione che sta facendo vacillare il classe 1998.
Nessuna proposta, tuttavia, sarebbe stata ancora recapitata al Milan. Secondo il portale Tranfermarkt, il valore del calciatore si aggira intorno ai 40 milioni di euro, ma raramente i club di MLS si sono spinti a cifre simili per acquistare un cartellino.
