La Juventus si rifà il look, dopo Carnevali un nuovo innesto nella dirigenza: c’è l’ex Roma e Milan
Come un fulmine a ciel sereno, Frederic Massara è il nuovo Direttore Tecnico della Juventus. Dopo l’addio di Cobolli, l’arrivo di Carnevali, i vertici del club bianconero hanno deciso di puntare su un altra figura di spicco per rendere meno debole una dirigenza che lo scorso anno si è fatta poco sentire. Intavolata la trattativa, molto velocemente è stato trovato un accordo e quindi per Massara c’è un occasione di rilancio dopo l’incarico lasciato a Roma per le divergenze con Gasperini .

Il nuovo Chief Football Officer, all’epoca Direttore Tecnico, Massara si insedia fin da subito e collaborerà a stretto contatto col nuovo AD e Direttore Generale Giovanni Carnevali. Rimane però un problema: la gestione fallimentare di Cobolli ha lasciato il segno, soprattutto nel ruolo dell’area tecnica, dove l’anno scorso ha visto come responsabile Francois Modesto, uomo che ha voluto personalmente lo stesso Cobolli. Quindi il francese ha le ore contate e saluterà definitivamente il club juventino dove non ha lasciato minimamente il segno. La Vecchia Signora volta pagina cercando in Carnevali e Massara l’esperienza e l’autorità necessaria per riportare il club in Champions League. Confermato invece Marco Ottolini nel ruolo di Direttore Sportivo mentre Giorgio Chiellini curerà le relazioni fra club e istituzioni calcistiche.
Chi è Frederic Massara
Dopo la carriera da calciatore, intraprende quella di vice-allenatore che interrompe in breve tempo per dedicarsi a lavori d’ufficio. Inizialmente collabora con Walter Sabatini prima al Palermo e poi alla Roma. Il 2011 è un anno cruciale perché ottiene la qualifica per essere Direttore Sportivo. Nel 2016 diventa il DS della Roma ma dopo un anno lascia l’incarico per seguire Sabatini in Cina come coordinatore delle squadre di Suning, ruolo che ricoprirà fino a marzo 2018. Pochi mesi dopo torna come Direttore Generale a Roma, e sarà anche Direttore Sportivo dopo l’interruzione del rapporto fra la Roma e Monchi, da marzo 2019 a giugno 2019. Pochi mesi dopo diventa il DS del Milan, dove vincerà uno scudetto. Fino a giugno 2023 resterà in casa rossonera. Dal 2024 al 2025 si occuperà del mercato del Rennes in Francia e poco dopo torna alla Roma ma chiude anticipatamente il suo contratto a fine maggio del 2026.

Al Milan è ricordato per aver comprato: Theo Hernandez, Mike Maignan, Sandro Tonali, Rafael Leao, Olivier Giroud. L’ossatura della squadra che porterà allo scudetto nel 2022 porta il nome di Massara. A Roma ha inciso anche nell’ultima qualificazione in Champions League, nonostante Gasperini non fosse pienamente soddisfatto del mercato, con l’acquisto di Wesley e soprattutto quello di Malen a gennaio che è stato il vero trascinatore verso un traguardo che mancava da 8 anni. Non bisogna dimenticare che nel suo primo periodo a Roma ha collaborato agli arrivi di Pjanic, Marquinhos, Manolas e Nainggolan, quindi sa il fatto suo soprattutto nel trovare giocatori non di prima fascia, pronti però al salto di qualità.
Cosa cambia nel mercato
Massara si ritroverà a lavorare a stretto contatto con Ottolini, con la supervisione di Carnevali, per portare a casa nuovo innesti che siano utili alla causa bianconera. Si proseguirà sulla linea che è già stata tracciata: priorità al portiere e all’attaccante. Se da un lato la Juventus per la porta sembra essere in pole per Vicario, con l’alternativa del Dibu Martinez che rimane viva, per l’attacco le questioni sono più complicate. Si cerca da tempo un accordo col PSG per riavere Kolo Muani, e tiene banco la situazione Openda non ritenuto all’altezza per proseguire la sua carriera a Torino. L’unica operazione effettuata è l’arrivo di Jeff Ekhator dal Genoa, che regala a Spalletti un innesto di sicuro avvenire per l’attacco. Attenzione però, la Juventus è stata multata dall’Uefa per 20 milioni di euro per aver violato il Fair Play Finanziario e quindi bisognerà pensare anche alle cessioni. In porta uno fra Di Gregorio e Perin saluterà entro la fine del mercato e non è scontato che anche a centrocampo qualcuno saluti, soprattutto nel caso in cui i bianconeri decidano di affondare il colpo su Kessié, ma intanto il primo nella lista cessioni è Fabio Miretti, in ottica Bologna, ma attenzione anche a Bremer. Il brasiliano ha una clausola attiva fino ai primi di agosto: 58 milioni di euro la cifra per liberare il giocatore. Insomma Massara ha già il suo bel da fare e in più avrà a che fare anche con Spalletti, che come Gasperini, non è semplice da gestire, ma l’ex Milan e Roma questa volta parte avvantaggiato, avendo già lavorato con l’allenatore di Certaldo. La dirigenza juventina sembra aver trovato la quadra, ora manca la squadra per poter tornare a competere per la Champions League e visto che alla fine conta solo vincere, può non bastare una buona dirigenza se mancano i giocatori adatti.
