Oumar Solet, centrale francese dell’Udinese che sembrava essere il principale obiettivo dell’Inter per la difesa, sembra ormai stato accantonato. 192 cm, 26 anni, difensore dal valore di mercato di circa 23 mln, Solet è monitorato dai nerazzurri già da tempo. Per la prossima stagione, l’Inter è chiamata a sostituire due pilastri come Acerbi (attualmente svincolato) e De Vrij (che ha firmato in questi giorni un contratto con il Panathinaikos fino al 30 giugno 2027). Prima ancora dell’inizio del mercato, il nome del centrale francese era quello più quotato per entrare a far parte dell’organico di Chivu.
I numeri di Solet
Nella scorsa stagione ha disputato con l’Udinese 35 gare, 34 da titolare, per un totale di 2961 minuti giocati, 3 gol e 1 assist. 89% di precisione nei passaggi e 60% di duelli vinti.
I friulani valutano Solet intorno ai 30 milioni, l’Inter proponeva un prestito oneroso con obbligo di riscatto (in modo da far gravare la spesa sul bilancio del prossimo anno) per arrivare ad una cifra complessiva vicina ai 20 milioni di euro. I contatti tra Inter e Udinese, che andavano avanti da settimane, si sono però raffreddati nonostante la disponibilità del giocatore a trasferirsi in nerazzurro firmando un contratto pluriennale.
Perché l'Inter accantona la pista?
La frenata dell’Inter potrebbe essere data da obiezioni legate all’effettiva affidabilità del giocatore dal punto di vista fisico: in particolare le perplessità riguarderebbero secondo alcuni un presunto problema cronico alla cartilagine del ginocchio, ritenuto potenzialmente delicato in relazione all’impiego di Solet ad alti livelli di intensità.
Potrebbe altresì essere una precisa strategia di mercato dei nerazzurri: dopo la trattativa saltata per Palestra, i dirigenti potrebbero pensare di rimodulare i budget destinati ai “colpi” da fare in questa sessione di mercato, aumentando la disponibilità per i difensori da acquistare. Si fanno i nomi di Chalobah del Chelsea ma anche di Macini della Roma, trentenne italiano che piace molto a Chivu e che non ha ancora rinnovato il contratto (in scadenza a fine giugno 2027) con la squadra capitolina.
Ricordiamo che l’Inter, oltre a due centrali, ha necessità di acquistare un portiere, un laterale destro (per sostituire Dumfries, che si è trasferito al Real Madrid) ed eventualmente un centrocampista con caratteristiche diverse da quelli già a disposizione del mister rumeno.
Dopo un interessamento per Solet da parte dell’Atletico Madrid, ora sembra entrato prepotentemente nella lista dei pretendenti il Como di Fabregas, che dopo aver acquistato Nico Paz dal Real Madrid ed aver beffato il Milan soffiandogli Liberali, è ora impegnato a rinforzare ulteriormente la rosa in vista della nuova stagione.

It could also be a precise transfer strategy for the Nerazzurri: after the failed negotiation for Palestra, the managers could think about remodulating the budgets allocated to the "hits" to be made in this transfer session, increasing the availability for defenders to be purchased. The names of Chalobah of Chelsea are mentioned but also of Macini of Roma, a thirty-year-old Italian who Chivu really likes and who has not yet renewed his contract (expiring at the end of June 2027) with the Capitoline team.
We remind you that Inter, in addition to two central defenders, need to purchase a goalkeeper, a right winger (to replace Dumfries, who moved to Real Madrid) and possibly a midfielder with different characteristics from those already available to the Romanian coach.
After an interest in Solet from Atletico Madrid, Fabregas' Como now seems to have forcefully entered the list of suitors, who after having purchased Nico Paz from Real Madrid and having mocked Milan by blowing away the Liberals, is now committed to further strengthening the squad in view of the new season.
