Pochi giorni dopo l'annuncio del nuovo organigramma societario il Milan comincia a muoversi sul calciomercato. L'obiettivo numero uno è quello di mettere a disposizione di Ruben Amorim un attaccante di livello, che possa portare gol ma anche adattarsi alle richieste del tecnico portoghese. Il nome scelto dai rossoneri è proprio un lusitano: Gonçalo Ramos.

L'attaccante portoghese, connazionale del neo tecnico rossonero, è in forza al club parigino dall'estate del 2023. Acquistato per circa 65 milioni di euro, non ha mai fatto vedere il suo reale potenziale. Ad oggi la sua valutazione si aggira intorno ai 30 milioni, ma la cifra richiesta dal PSG per lasciarlo andare è ben più alta. Nella serata di giovedì 25 giugno il Milan ha avanzato la prima offerta ufficiale al club campione d'Europa: il pacchetto, tra parte fissa e bonus, consiste in circa 54/55 milioni di euro. Questa cifra si avvicina molto alle richieste dei francesi (circa 60 milioni). Oltre a ciò ci sono già stati i primi contatti tra il Diavolo e Jorge Mendes, attuale procuratore dell'attaccante. I presupposti per l'arrivo del 9 lusitano ci sono eccome.
Chi è Gonçalo Ramos? L'identikit del giocatore
Nato ad Olhão nel giugno del 2001, Gonçalo Ramos ha mosso i suoi primi passi nella squadra della sua città, l'Olhanense, per poi passare al Benfica. Nel club della capitale portoghese ha seguito tutta la trafila delle serie giovanili, dall'Under 15 alla squadra B: nel 2020 ecco poi il passaggio in prima squadra. Dopo tre stagioni molto positive ecco quindi il passaggio al PSG, dove però le cose non sono andate come sperato.
Alto 1,85 e di piede destro, tra le sue caratteristiche principali ha una buona fisicità e soprattutto l'essere un attaccante moderno. Pur non essendo un titolare nella corazzata di Luis Enrique ha comunque fatto vedere a tratti dei colpi interessanti e soprattutto dei particolari che potrebbero fare al caso di Amorim. Sarà lui quindi il prescelto per essere il “Gyökeres Rossonero”.

In 45 presenze (con soli 1704 minuti in campo) ha collezionato 12 reti, fornendo anche 2 assist ai compagni. Nelle ultime quattro stagioni (dal 2022/23) non è mai andato sotto la doppia cifra: la stagione con meno reti segnate è stata proprio quella appena conclusa, mentre il bottino più ricco l'ha portato a casa nell'ultimo anno a Lisbona (27 reti). Per le richieste tattiche di Amorim potrebbe essere il nome giusto per trovare finalmente un degno erede di Olivier Giroud.
