Sempre al top la Mercedes che si assicura l'ennesima pole stagionale e fa sette su sette. Male il monegasco che scatterà dalla decima posizione
Questa volta non arriva la pole position per Kimi Antonelli (3°) ma, per il settimo Gp di fila, c'è una Mercedes in pole. George Russell svetta davanti a tutti nelle qualifiche del Montmelò e scatterà in prima posizione nel Gp di Spagna: tempo di 1.14.679 per il britannico, che precede uno strepitoso Hamilton (+0.064) e il leader del Mondiale (+0.319). Brutta giornata per Charles Leclerc, che rovina un buon giro finendo fuori in Q3. Il monegasco, che aveva preso il muro anche pochi giorni fa nel Principato, partirà dalla decima casella.
Mercedes si conferma ingiocabile in qualifica, con sette pole in sette gare, ma questa volta deve sudarsela più del previsto. George Russell scatterà infatti davanti a tutti col tempo di 1.14.679, ma Lewis Hamilton sfiora l'impresa e cede lo scettro per soli 64 millesimi, pagando il suo distacco nel primo settore e sognando nel tratto finale. Doppietta britannica dunque nel Gp di Spagna, con una Mercedes e una Ferrari davanti a tutti, mentre è notte fonda per Charles Leclerc. Il monegasco va a muro proprio mentre stava inseguendo il suo giro veloce, sbagliando valutazione nel tratto centrale ed entrando con troppa velocità. Scatterà decimo dopo l'incidente e la bandiera rossa, a meno di cambi di componenti nella sua Ferrari dopo gli importanti danni alla parte anteriore della vettura.
Terza posizione per il leader del Mondiale Kimi Antonelli (+0.319), che precede di un soffio Norris (+0.322) e Verstappen (+0.342): completano la top-10 Hadjar (+0.398), Piastri (+0.411), Lawson, Hulkenberg e il già citato Leclerc. Nessuna sorpresa nelle precedenti sessioni: out in Q2 Lindblad, Bortoleto, Colapinto, Gasly, Bearman e Sainz. Out in Q1 invece, Ocon, Albon, le Cadillac di Perez e Bottas e le Aston Martin. Dopo 42 gare, Fernando Alonso viene battuto in qualifica da Lance Stroll e scatterà ultimo: un mesto Gp di casa per l'asturiano, collegando in queste ore al possibile passaggio in Alpine per il 2027 (procrastinando il ritiro).

This time the pole position does not arrive for Kimi Antonelli (3rd) but, for the seventh GP in a row, there is a Mercedes on pole. George Russell stands out ahead of everyone in the Montmelò qualifying and will start in first position in the Spanish GP: a time of 1.14.679 for the Briton, who precedes an amazing Hamilton (+0.064) and the World Championship leader (+0.319). Bad day for Charles Leclerc, who ruins a good lap by finishing out in Q3. The Monegasque, who also hit the wall a few days ago in the Principality, will start from the tenth spot.
Mercedes confirmed itself as unplayable in qualifying, with seven poles in seven races, but this time it had to work harder than expected. George Russell will in fact start ahead of everyone with a time of 1.14.679, but Lewis Hamilton comes close to achieving the feat and gives up the scepter by just 64 thousandths, paying for his gap in the first sector and dreaming in the final stretch. British double therefore in the Spanish GP, with a Mercedes and a Ferrari in front of everyone, while it is the middle of the night for Charles Leclerc. The Monegasque hits the wall just as he was chasing his fastest lap, making a mistake in the middle section and entering too quickly. He will start tenth after the accident and the red flag, unless components are changed in his Ferrari after the significant damage to the front of the car.
Third position for the World Championship leader Kimi Antonelli (+0.319), who narrowly precedes Norris (+0.322) and Verstappen (+0.342): completing the top-10 were Hadjar (+0.398), Piastri (+0.411), Lawson, Hulkenberg and the aforementioned Leclerc. No surprises in the previous sessions: Lindblad, Bortoleto, Colapinto, Gasly, Bearman and Sainz out in Q2. Out in Q1 instead, Ocon, Albon, the Cadillacs of Perez and Bottas and the Aston Martins. After 42 races, Fernando Alonso was beaten in qualifying by Lance Stroll and will start last: a sad home GP for the Asturian, currently being linked to a possible move to Alpine for 2027 (postponing his retirement).
