Il Frosinone si tinge a stelle e strisce con l’acquisizione da parte di Clara Vista. 3 parole d’ordine: infrastrutture, marketing e comunicazione. Un obiettivo: la permanenza in A
Nessuno avrebbe mai creduto che degli americani si sarebbero interessati al Frosinone. Addirittura acquistarlo era inimmaginabile. E invece è accaduto. Era nell’aria da settimane ma ora è tutto ufficiale. Il presidente Stirpe cede dopo 23 anni l’80% delle quote del Frosinone al fondo di investimento americano e lo conferma in una conferenza stampa seguita da una città intera, in trepidante attesa per un avvenimento storico per una piazza come quella ciociara. Ora la compagine può sognare grandi traguardi, ma prima deve riscattare l’ultima stagione in A, terminata con la scottante retrocessione all’ultima giornata per mano dell’udinese.

È uno Stirpe sereno quello visto in conferenza, conscio del fatto che dopo tutti i traguardi raggiunti lascia in mani sicure l’80% della sua creatura. Dopo un’accurata ricerca durata 3 anni, a marzo - come rivelato dal presidente stesso - Clara Vista lo ha contattato e subito si è trovata la quadra per poter intavolare una trattativa per l’acquisizione dell’80% delle quote societarie più il 51% del controllo delle infrastrutture del club giallazzurro, per un investimento totale da 41,5 milioni di euro per uno dei pochi club di A che ha lo stadio di proprietà, struttura che si è rivelata fondamentale sia per tornare più volte in A, sia in sede di trattativa.

Lo stesso presidente ci ha tenuto a rivendicare tutto il buono che ha fatto e a precisare che se tutta Italia avesse fatto così, invece di pensare solo ai guadagni a breve termine, forse il calcio italiano non si troverebbe ad un punto morto. Bisogna saper usare le risorse e non sprecarle: questo il leitmovit alla base del futuro della nuova società, dove Stirpe manterrà per due anni il ruolo di presidente. La volontà del presidente, con questi investitori, è crescere nel marketing, nella comunicazione e nelle infrastrutture da completare per il settore giovanile. Ma l’obiettivo più grande è rimanere in Serie A. Fare le stesse cose nelle stesso modo non avrebbe funzionato e allora verrà abbracciato il nuovo modello americano basato sui dati per il reclutamento dei calciatori e su un mercato con una capacità economica importante senza dover cedere giocatori per far quadrare il bilancio.
Le prime mosse di Clara Vista
In conferenza sono stati presentati i 3 membri di Clara Vista nel CDA: Bob Gold, Charlie Lambropoulos e Wills Hapworth. Gold ha creato Clara Vista, mentre gli altri due membri si occupano di tecnologia e investimenti bancari. Il fondo americano non rivoluzionerà la dirigenza o lo staff del Frosinone perché ritenuti già di livello. Quello che faranno sarà immettere capitali e le loro esperienze al servizio del presidente Stirpe. L’obiettivo è far rimanere in pianta stabile il Frosinone in A e trasmettere la storia della squadra in tutto il mondo.
L'importanza dell'atmosfera e del paesaggio
Si sono innamorati del Frosinone vedendolo giocare dal vivo e per l’atmosfera dello stadio e il suggestivo paesaggio che lo circonda. Riconosciuto quanto di buono fatto in passato, c'è la volontà di preservarlo, ma arricchendolo con una prospettiva più globale.

I loro investimenti resteranno separati rispetto all’Ipswich Town, che fa capo a un altro fondo, Gamechanger 20, sempre della sfera di Clara Vista. I due portafogli rimarranno comunque separati: in conferenza è infatti stato ribadito che il Frosinone non farà parte di una strategia multi club, ma camminerà da solo.
Come cambia l’assetto in Lega Serie A
La volontà del fondo è aumentare i media intorno alla squadra e, in modo più ambizioso, alla Serie A. In altre parole, spingere ad un accrescimento degli introiti dei diritti televisivi.
Inoltre, la loro acquisizione porterà un peso diverso anche in Assemblea di Lega dove basta la maggioranza pari a 2/3 per cambiare le regole, che equivale a 14 voti. Al momento le società straniere sono 13, una cifra vicinissima alla soglia necessaria per cambiare gli equilibri di potere per rivoluzionare le regole della Serie A. La volontà, quindi, è quella di far sentire la propria voce anche dove conta.
