Lunedi 18 maggio

Domenica 17 maggio
Marotta parla dal Duomo: “Tutto merito di Chivu e ragazzi ma soprattutto dell'allenatore”

"Something unforgettable, a party that will remain forever in the memory of all the people who are here. Ownership has put us in a position to work well, we as management have supported the team, the coach but all the credit goes to them because they were really good and the support of our fans who you see in an amazing way tonight during the championship has served to always stimulate continuous victories. Satisfaction in seeing Chivu celebrate and in the choice made? Great credit for all this goes to the coach, also to the players. For us managers it is a great satisfaction because we had the courage to try what perhaps others would not have tried, we knew we were dealing with a serious, very well-prepared professional and we managed to fulfill what was a dream and make it come true. Courage was decisive, that of the choice but we were convinced that it could be the right choice in a manager. A sense of belonging that all members had also played an important role."
He then continues on the future: "We must continue on this path, this group has been able to give us a lot of satisfaction. There are players who due to their age will no longer be there but we will try to replace them in the best possible way, we will look for the right mix: effervescence from the young people and experience from the older ones."
23:26 La squadra si affaccia dalla terrazza
Starting with Yann Sommer, the Nerazzurri were called one by one to appear on Piazza Duomo and embrace the Nerazzurri people. Closing out are captain Lautaro and vice-captain Barella with the cups and the leader: Mister Chivu.
23:10 Il pullman è arrivato
Piazza Duomo explodes, the Italian champions have arrived!

22: 50 Ci siamo quasi
The bus gets closer and closer to Piazza Duomo where the climate is very hot, with many fans awaiting their favorites.
21:30 L'Inter viaggia verso piazza Duomo
Inter heads towards Piazza Duomo and is embraced by all the fans. A black and blue tide accompanies the bus which proceeds at walking pace. Players unleashed, Thuram pays homage to his coach by wearing the helmet

19:30 Il pullman lascia San Siro
About an hour late but to the rhythm of music, the Nerazzurri open-top bus leaves from the Giuseppe Meazza stadium towards Piazza Duomo.

Lautaro: “Godiamoci questa festa”
"We have to enjoy this party, because we deserved it. I'm very happy, I greet the fans. What music will I play on the bus? I don't know, let's see."
Calhanoglu: "Da fuori c'è sempre casino, ma dentro eravamo sempre vicini".

"It's very nice to win with Inter. We're really happy, we deserved it after last summer, especially about me where my name was everywhere, but I was always silent. I want to thank the coach, we talked a lot, it's certainly thanks to him. From the outside there's always chaos, but inside we were always close. Every time we got into difficulty, we always responded on the pitch, it's always been like this since I've been at Inter, it's a family here."
The Turk also talks about his future: "Future? For now I'm focused on the World Cup, in Italy I'm happy, let's see what will happen. My children are well here, let's see what will happen in the future. Unfortunately I had injuries this year too, but when I took to the pitch I always gave my best. I had time to recover well for the World Cup, for this I also want to thank the coach."
Zielinski: "Stagione fantastica"
"This season? Fantastic, many will say that we would have done better in the Champions League and I agree but we are happy to have brought home two very important trophies. I am happy to have had a season without injuries, with the trust of the coach and the staff, I have demonstrated my value and now we have to celebrate. I hope to win more championships with the Nerazzurri shirt, we want to demonstrate next year too that we are strong and competitive. I will keep this shirt in my wardrobe in a special place."
Carlos Augusto: “Pronto per la festa? Come il carnevale in Brasile”
"Even though I've done 90 minutes, I'm very ready for the party, it's like the carnival in Brazil: we celebrate all day. The truth is that I'm very happy for what the group has done this season, for what the coach and the staff have brought. It's never easy to start again after a season like last, we've proven once again that we're a great team and a great group. Sunglasses? Everyone likes them, we put them on to celebrate."
Marotta in conferenza stampa: “È di Chivu”

The Nerazzurri president speaks in a conference after the match against Verona and analyzes the Nerazzurri's extraordinary season:
"Most important moment? Definitely the victory against Roma, there we understood that we had started the final sprint to achieve victory as well as the victory at home against Como in the Italian Cup".
"Winning is always difficult in any competition against any team, winning the championship is a race in stages where the best team arrives and winning the scudetto is extraordinary and is the result of great desire, great work, Chivu's victory of courage and determination and we deservedly won this scudetto."
On the choice of Chivu: "It was quite easy, we were looking for a coach profile that met our needs. He had played for Inter in the Treble, he had a strong sense of belonging, he won with the youth team and had all the qualities that reflected the profile we were looking for. It was perhaps a courageous choice, but courage in sport is to be absolutely taken into consideration."
On players whose contract is expiring: "Today we note that there are some players who are expiring, they have a personal data that speaks for itself, but still very great values. We haven't decided yet, we will do it together with them and with the utmost respect. In football, we know, age is an important aspect. Quitting is physiological, so we will evaluate. They would all be deserving of re-appointment in any case, except then having to make decisions for the good of Inter."
Pepo Martinez: “Contento per i due trofei”
"A slightly difficult season for me, but I'm very happy to have won two trophies: it's an unforgettable feeling to win with Inter. The coach gave me confidence in the Cup, I needed it at a certain point in the season, I'm really happy that everyone helped me: the dream of becoming Inter's first goalkeeper. The coach knows the dressing room very well, he knows how to manage it and what incentives to give to the players. Now we're ready for the party, today it's getting late!"
Thuram: “Felice di far parte di questa storia”

"The photo with my father? He's a Juventus player but he's my father first of all, so he's just happy for me. The day before the Italian Cup final I was talking to him, and he told me that I have to thank the people who stood by me. I thought of Marco Materazzi because in difficult moments he sent me several messages and helped me a lot. After the break we talked to each other and said that we had to do everything to win this Scudetto. Lautaro and I like Milito and Eto'o? It's difficult to compare different eras, I'm just happy to be part of this story."
Darmian: “Giornata emozionante. Spero di chiudere la carriera qui”.
"It is certainly an emotional day, I have lived six fantastic years here, now we enjoy the celebration that awaits us even more. The season has been long and difficult, we bring home two trophies and we are very happy. The fans were fantastic and from day one they made me feel at home with their support. I always tried to give my all, I'm not one to steal the eye and I tried to put everything on the pitch, I think they recognized it. The hug with Barella? He's a great footballer, a great person and a friend, we shared many moments together. My contract is expiring and I don't know what the future holds for me, I hope to end my career here."
Diouf: "Non è importante dove il mister mi impiega, conta giocare e vincere.”
"For me the most important thing was to play to help the team achieve this goal, today I'm very excited. If I have to choose my favorite role I'd say that I like being a midfielder and being in the middle of the pitch, but I can play multiple roles and it's not important where the coach uses me, it's about playing and winning."
Chivu onora i suoi ragazzi: “Merito loro”

"Thanks to the boys, to the work done in recent months, to put their face to it, to work hard, to know how to manage negative and positive moments. When you win it's even more beautiful for us, for them and for these wonderful fans. I thank the fans, we have reunited and they have given a big contribution and a big hand for this"
Mkhitaryan sul suo futuro e Chivu
He is not yet sure about what tomorrow will be: "Future? Honestly, I haven't decided yet, I have to talk to the club and then give us my assessments whether to continue or retire"
While on the coach: "Chivu? Have you seen what has changed. He gave us confidence and small things that we lacked in past years. He did a great job and we believed in him, we followed him and did what we had to do".
Capitan Lautaro e Mister Chivu alzano la coppa al cielo: l'Inter è campione d'Italia

Il ricordo a Becca
A big Nerazzurri heart.

Lo spettacolo sugli spalti del Meazza
Inter are Italian champions but not only that...doubles!

2.45pm - Marotta responds to Cardinale
Close to the kick-off of Inter Hellas Verona, the president of Inter speaks and there is no lack of a piqued response to the statements of the president of Milan, Gerry Cardinale, who had spoken about the Champions League final that Inter lost against PSG. These are the words of the Nerazzurri president:
"I have two answers in my pocket. One ironic and one serious. I'll say the serious one: I wish him the path we've followed in the last six years, 9 titles, two Champions League finals, one Europa League final. I'll keep the ironic one for the next nastiness...".
L'Inter entra in campo con la Coppa Italia

Dumfries: “Scudetto e Coppa Italia, sono il simbolo di un gruppo che in un momento complicato ha saputo reagire”
A few hours before the match against Verona, Dumfries is talking about the present but also the future. "If they told me, give me the Scudetto and the Italian Cup and I'll make you replay the Champions League final from a year ago, I wouldn't accept. The Doblete is the symbol of a group that was able to react in a complicated moment. Chivu was very good. He found the right key. It wasn't easy."
Futuro
"Everyone knows that there is a clause in my contract. I'm fine here, really. There's a World Cup ahead and then, like every year, I'll meet with the club to take stock of the situation. We've always done it this way and we'll do it this time too."
Il suo arrivo in nerazzurro
"In the summer of 2021 Ausilio called me and told me you have to come immediately. I told him “ok, I'm here. If you find an agreement with PSV it's fine. In the end I arrived and now I'm the owner but it wasn't easy, it took time. Becoming an Inter starter is no joke."
Josep Martinez: “Mai abbattersi. L'Inter è un'emozione”
"I have learned not to give up in difficult moments: it is important to believe that there is always a remedy, to adapt and move forward. A bad moment is not an end: being resilient is fundamental." "Inter is an emotion, a child's dream: playing for such an important club is not for everyone."
"Sommer is an incredible goalkeeper: he has incredible quality with his feet, I always try to learn something from him. I'm lucky to be able to see him from so close."
Di Gennaro: “L'Inter una famiglia”
"For me, Inter is a family, I feel at home here: as a child I supported Inter, then I joined the Nerazzurri youth team and grew up here. It is impossible to explain how important Inter is for my life."

Thursday 14 May
How much does Inter earn after Chivu's historic double?
Inter wins and wins the Italian Cup and the Scudetto. It's double. Historic achievement that brings an important profit to the club's coffers.
For the 21st scudetto in their history, the Nerazzurri received around 15.7 million euros to which we must also add the 7.1 million for their 10th Italian Cup (a figure which remained unchanged compared to last year). Therefore raking in a total revenue of 22.8 million euros. An important figure that will enrich the coffers, after a high-level season in which at a national level it can be said that Chivu's team dominated.
“Armata” this is the word that represents the team. It wasn't easy, after last season and the rumors that surrounded Inter for an entire season. But the hard work and the desire to bring the club back to the top of Italy have paid off for everyone. From the players, to the club and to the fans. A season to "frame".
On Wednesday 13 May, Inter won a historic double at the Olimpico against Lazio.
Relive with us the lead-up to the Italian Cup final and all the words of the protagonists at the end of the match which gave the Nerazzurri their tenth success in the competition.
Mercoledì 13 maggio
Ore 23:55 - Chivu: “Chiedo io scusa ai miei figli per quello che hanno dovuto leggere su di me”
"Moment when I understood that it could end like this? From the beginning, from what we said to each other in America in that famous meeting. We made things clear, they understood my expectations and what I am. I found a group of guys who immediately made themselves available. I can't think of a specific moment, there are ups and downs, things that happen every day in the locker room. We all deserve this satisfaction."
"Score for the team? I give the whole team a 10, with the mention that they can still improve because the expectations will be higher."
"The thing that gave me the most satisfaction and the thing that hurt me the most? Satisfaction is easy, but what my children had to read about me at the beginning of the season hurt me. I apologize for them."
Ore 23:40 - Thuram: “L'anno scorso ci è servito per quest'anno”
"Last year helped us this year. We finished the season on a great note, with two trophies, and we are very happy. Inter were winning even before me, they are a great team, who always try to win trophies. The whole team got back on their feet after the break, we made a great journey to win these two trophies."
To then continue: "Chivu? I don't give ratings, but he had a great season, he made us regain our confidence and we won also thanks to him. Now we enjoy the two trophies, then there will be the World Cup and then we'll see. The group amazed me: we were already strong, but those who arrived gave us a great hand and I'm happy with this group."
Ore 23:30 - Marotta: “Siamo contenti”

Inter's path this season? The team goes onto the pitch, then there's one off it that I thank, from Ausilio to Baccin and Zanetti, our owners, all the fans who are extraordinary. Football is a team game, all the components have given their contribution to achieve these pleasant results. Our DNA is to always play to win."
The Nerazzurri president then continued: "Doblete? We are happy, several positive results have arrived in the last period. Let's start with the ownership which has given great freedom and powers of delegation. Sometimes you then lose, but reaching the final is always very difficult. This year was born from the waste of last season, it had left its mark, Chivu was good at putting everything back together and we got back on track. Now these two trophies have arrived, the regret of the Champions League remains, that only black dot."
On the market and club policy: "I am very optimistic, remaining respectful of the opponents. Let's continue this evolutionary path, not a revolutionary one. Sucic was among the best on the pitch today, we will continue with this policy of finding important talents or young players, to mix with experienced players. You can't win with only young players, you need experienced players who have won. Soon we will begin to delve into it, always after a discussion with the club that gives us the guidelines. Changing a lot or improving on the market? It's not the case for changing a lot, there are those who are released, but the registry creates destiny. Maximum respect for those who will no longer be with us, it is part of life, we move forward, but there will not be a gradual insertion of young people."
Ore 23:25 - Le parole di Lautaro e Dumfries
Lautaro: "Doblete? Meaning of such importance, it wasn't easy to start again after what happened last year. We had a truly important season in terms of results, play, intensity, performances. Two games to go, but in the meantime another trophy that means a lot to us. Too much criticism of Inter? There's always a lot of talk about Inter, for what we've been doing over the years, we have to continue on our path and bring titles to Inter. We're bringing two more titles and it means a lot to us. A Chivu give 10, he gave us a great help."
Dumfries: "I'm happy, I'm back after a difficult moment. I'm happy for the victory, for the assist to Lauti, who complained about the few assists. I'm very happy. Vote for Chivu? Ten".
Ore 23:20 - Chivu: “Due trofei meritati”

"Inter won two trophies: we deserved them. We had a good season. We are happy for what we have overcome in recent years, for our fans and for the club, which has always supported us. New winning cycle? We enjoy what we have done, winning two trophies is never a given, we are happy for this."
Ore 23:15 - L'Inter alza la Coppa Italia

Ore 22:55 - Inter è Doblete!
The Nerazzurri conquer the Olimpico and win the tenth Italian Cup in the club's history. The party explodes for an extraordinary season!
Ore 21:45 - Vantaggio Inter all'intervallo
After the first 45 minutes at the Olimpico the Nerazzurri are ahead 2-0 thanks first to Marusic's own goal which broke the deadlock, followed by captain Lautaro's second goal.
Ore 21:00 - Fischio d'inizio
The choreographies of the two sets of fans. Show in the stands of the Olimpico!

Ore 20:30 - Marotta: “Crediamo in questa finale, siamo motivati"
"A final is always a splendid evening that repays everyone's sacrifices. We believe in this competition and hope to obtain the tenth victory which is metaphorically worth another star. Putting it on the shirt? No, the rules don't even provide for it. The important thing is to win, it would be something shiny. This group has been together for a few years, has experienced victories and defeats and has grown in mentality. Those who were boys have become men and have played important roles. This was the championship for Chivu and the team. The coach in particular he played an important role demonstrating his qualities."
Ore 20:15 - Akanji: “Partita da 50 e 50”
"It's a final, everything can be decided. We have to be ready from the first to the last minute. It will certainly be a different match compared to the weekend, there are many more fans for them. It will be 50-50, we dominated on Saturday but they have several changes in the lineup, we'll see who comes out on top."
Ore 20:00 - Le formazioni ufficiali
- LAZIO (4-3-3): Motta; Marusic, Gila, Romagnoli, Tavares; Basic, Patric, Taylor; Isaksen, Noslin, Zaccagni. All. Sarri
- INTER (3-5-2): J. Martinez; Bisseck, Akanji, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Zielinski, Sucic, Dimarco; L. Martinez, Thuram. All. Chivu

Ore 13:00 - Parla Marotta!
A few hours after the kick-off, Nerazzurri president Beppe Marotta underlined the importance of the Italian Cup: "The most important values that have characterized our journey are two: humility and courage. The humility that goes hand in hand with the culture of work, the sense of belonging. The courage of having made a choice which probably did not have much consensus but which was nevertheless rationally assessed on our part, which is to entrust the team to a certainly emerging coach such as Chivu who has the thanks to having led it to the championship victory and the Italian Cup final. The Italian Cup is a romantic and fascinating tournament, which we care a lot about, because we have a list of victories in this competition".
Ore 10:00 - Svelata la maglia della finale!

As preparations continue for tonight's final, the uniform in which Chivu's men will take to the pitch has been revealed. Inter will attempt to attack the Italian Cup with the Nerazzurri shirt, decorated with a commemorative writing on the occasion of the gold final.
Martedì 12 maggio
Ore 18:05 - Il discorso di Chivu al Quirinale
On the afternoon before, Nerazzurri coach Cristian Chivu showed up at the Quirinale. Here is his speech: "Good afternoon President and good afternoon to all the people present here today. Thank you for the invitation to such a symbolic place as the Quirinale. You not only represent the highest office of the Italian State, which you hold with great merit and commitment, but also a man of sport and many values. For us, as representatives of FC Internazionale, it is a source of great pride to be able to be here today to celebrate the Italian Cup final which will see us challenge Lazio tomorrow evening at the Olimpico. The Italian Republic recognizes the educational and social value of sporting activity, therefore for us it is also an important responsibility to be here today precisely because coaches, like athletes, we must be bearers of values and we have the task of being an example for all the boys and girls who follow us. Tomorrow evening, both we and Lazio will try to honor this great competition by putting the best version of ourselves on the field. Thank you president, thank you very much for everything."
Ore 12:44 - Partiti! Il pullman dell'Inter lascia Appiano Gentile

The Nerazzurri bus has just left the Inter sports centre. The journey that will take Chivu's team to Rome to compete for the Italian Cup with Lazio officially begins.
Ore 12:35 - Tutto pronto per la partenza dell'Inter
Everything is ready for the Nerazzurri's departure for Rome. The bus will soon leave the Inter sports center and begin the journey to the capital, where it will be welcomed by the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella before Cristian Chivu's ritual pre-match press conference.
Ore 12:30 - Zaccagni e Cataldi in gruppo
Maurizio Sarri's Lazio can smile, as they will be able to rely on Mattia Zaccagni and Danilo Cataldi. The two players trained today as a group with the rest of the team after being sidelined due to a contusion and adductor muscle problems respectively. The recoveries of the technical and moral leader and the director of the Biancocelesti are very important. The coach is left with the choice of whether to risk them from the start or to rely on his players during the game.
