Il britannico e la Ferrari tornano al successo dopo oltre un anno, ritiri per Antonelli e Leclerc
Lewis Hamilton conquista la prima vittoria in carriera in Ferrari! Nel Gran Premio di Formula 1 di Barcellona-Catalogna il britannico centra il successo numero 106 della sua carriera e riporta la rossa di Maranello sul gradino più alto del podio. Secondo posto per la Mercedes di George Russell, terzo Lando Norris. Si ritirano quasi in contemporanea clamorosamente a tre giri dal termine sia Andrea Kimi Antonelli che Charles Leclerc.
La prima volta non si scorda mai: Lewis Hamilton vince il Gp di Barcellona-Catalogna in F1 e riapre anche clamorosamente il Mondiale piloti. Allo spegnimento dei semafori tutto fila abbastanza liscio: Russell tiene la posizione su Hamilton, mentre Antonelli è insidiato da Norris. Charles Leclerc recupera subito tre posizioni, mentre Hadjar naufraga nelle retrovie. Russell trova subito un grande ritmo, mentre Lewis soffre con la mescola più morbida. È proprio il britannico della Ferrari a rompere gli indugi delle soste al giro 12, con Russell che risponde al passaggio dopo e via via tutti gli altri. La situazione resta più o meno invariata fino al giro 28, quando riparte il valzer ai box: ancora Hamilton il primo a fermarsi, ma stavolta le due frecce d’argento restano fuori. Antonelli si avvicina clamorosamente a Russell, facendo partire un duello che favorisce l’avvicinamento di Hamilton e Norris.
Al giro 37 fanno pit-stop in successione anche le due Mercedes, che arrivano quindi a differenziare definitivamente la strategia. Hamilton resta leader del Gran Premio (con una sosta in più da fare), ma al giro 41 Fernando Alonso causa una Virtual Safety Car. Hamilton sfrutta il momento e fa la sua sosta, per ripartire davanti a tutti dopo aver sprecato meno tempo ai box. Lewis entra in modalità “Hammer Time” negli ultimi 20 giri, arrivando a guadagnare un secondo a giro su Russell e Antonelli. Negli ultimi quattro giri succede di tutto, Antonelli sorpassa Russell ma poi la sua Mercedes si ferma clamorosamente. Destino analogo anche per Leclerc (sesto dietro a Verstappen per tutta la gara), che è vittima di un problema allo sterzo ed è costretto al ritiro. Gli ultimi passaggi sono tutti rallentati dalla Virtual Safety Car causata da Antonelli, mentre Hamilton può festeggiare il ritorno alla vittoria e anche a riaprire un Mondiale apparentemente chiuso. Quarto posto per Verstappen, davanti a Piastri e Hadjar. A chiudere la top ten Gasly, Colapinto, Lawson e Lindblad.

The Briton and Ferrari return to success after more than a year, retirements for Antonelli and Leclerc
Lewis Hamilton takes first career win in Ferrari! In the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Barcelona-Catalonia the Briton achieved success number 106 of his career and brought the red Maranello car back to the top step of the podium. Second place for George Russell's Mercedes, third Lando Norris. Both Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Charles Leclerc sensationally retire almost simultaneously with three laps to go.
The first time is never forgotten: Lewis Hamilton wins the Barcelona-Catalonia GP in F1 and also sensationally reopens the Drivers' World Championship. When the traffic lights went out everything went quite smoothly: Russell held the position on Hamilton, while Antonelli was threatened by Norris. Charles Leclerc immediately recovers three positions, while Hadjar sinks to the rear. Russell immediately finds a great rhythm, while Lewis suffers with the softer compound. It is the Ferrari's Brit who breaks through the pitfalls on lap 12, with Russell responding to the next pass and everyone else. The situation remains more or less unchanged until lap 28, when the waltz into the pits starts again: Hamilton is the first to stop again, but this time the two silver arrows remain outside. Antonelli dramatically approaches Russell, starting a duel that favors the rapprochement of Hamilton and Norris.
On lap 37 the two Mercedes also make pit stops in succession, thus definitively differentiating the strategy. Hamilton remains leader of the Grand Prix (with one more stop to make), but on lap 41 Fernando Alonso causes a Virtual Safety Car. Hamilton takes advantage of the moment and makes his stop, to restart in front of everyone after having wasted less time in the pits. Lewis goes into “Hammer Time” mode in the final 20 laps, gaining a second per lap on Russell and Antonelli. In the last four laps everything happens, Antonelli overtakes Russell but then his Mercedes stops sensationally. Similar fate also for Leclerc (sixth behind Verstappen for the entire race), who suffered a steering problem and was forced to retire. The final stages are all slowed down by the Virtual Safety Car caused by Antonelli, while Hamilton can celebrate his return to victory and also reopen an apparently closed World Championship. Fourth place for Verstappen, ahead of Piastri and Hadjar. Closing out the top ten are Gasly, Colapinto, Lawson and Lindblad.
