President Marotta praises Inter:

"There is a team that goes on the pitch and one made up of all the employees and management. Football is a team game, all the components have given their contribution for these pleasant results"

The words of president Giuseppe Marotta contain many meanings: from thanks to revenge. Even personal. Especially towards those who, during the summer, had put the club's choices in their sights, starting with the promotion of Cristian Chivu to the Nerazzurri bench.

The tenth Italian Cup in Inter's history is worth much more than a simple trophy. Inside the success against Lazio there is the manifesto of a club that, after turbulent months and the wounds left by last season, has been able to rediscover identity, hunger and continuity. And in the declarations the clearest photograph of this rebirth emerges.

“Non ci saranno rivoluzioni”

Doblete Inter

Among the most important sentences pronounced by Marotta there is one that immediately sparked the debate on the future of the Beneamata.

In fact, the president explained that the club has no intention of changing the team: "There's no need to change much." A clear message aimed at both the environment and the market. Inter will continue along the line already traced: talented young people supported by expert players with personality.

A position that takes on even more weight considering the climate of skepticism experienced in the previous months. After the technical change and some internal tensions linked to the European results, many imagined a summer revolution. Marotta instead chose continuity, reaffirming his faith in the project and above all in the mentality built within the locker room.

La difesa di Chivu

Chivu doblete Inter

The strongest statements probably came from the Romanian coach. Marotta spoke openly of a "courageous choice", underlining how the decision to entrust the team to an emerging coach had not found much initial consensus.

A step that almost seems like an indirect response to the criticisms received during the year. Chivu, former symbol of the Nerazzurri treble, had been greeted by doubts about his experience at a high level. Today, however, he finds himself with the championship and Italian Cup under his belt, becoming one of the absolute protagonists of Inter's rebirth.

Marotta also insisted a lot on the human aspect, talking about the group, sense of belonging and work culture. Elements which, according to the president, allowed the team to overcome the "black dot" represented by the Champions League.

“La Coppa Italia è romantica”

The definition used by Marotta on the eve of the final is also curious and significant. The president had described the Italian Cup as a "romantic and fascinating" competition, recalling Inter's historical link with this trophy. A phrase that initially might have seemed only incidental, but which after the success at the Olimpico took on a much deeper value.

Un messaggio al calcio italiano

L'Inter alza al cielo la sua 10^ Coppa Italia

The Nerazzurri Number One wanted to underline the value of corporate planning and stability. Thanking the owners, managers, staff and fans, he practically reiterated the Inter model: a strong club off the pitch to make the team strong on the pitch.

And perhaps this is precisely the real message left by the interview during the final: Inter does not want to live on isolated episodes or seasons. He wants to stay at the top.

And from the President's words, the belief that this cycle is still far from over clearly emerges.
