L’ex Presidente dell’Inter Massimo Moratti scommette ancora su Marotta e Chivu: ha espresso tutta la sua fiducia nella Dirigenza nerazzurra ed è sicuro che verranno fatti gli acquisti più funzionali alla squadra per permettere al tecnico rumeno di svolgere al meglio il suo lavoro. Nessuna preoccupazione da parte sua, dunque, dopo i mancati arrivi di Palestra e Nico Paz.
La storia dei Moratti
Figlio di Angelo, che dal maggio 1955 fino al 1968 è stato Presidente dei nerazzurri, vincendo 3 Campionati Italiani, 2 Coppe dei Campioni e 2 Coppe Intercontinentali, acquista ufficialmente l’Inter nel 1995.
La presidenza di Massimo Moratti ha lasciato un segno indelebile nella storia dell’Inter. Sotto la sua guida il club ha vissuto alcuni dei momenti più esaltanti della sua storia, culminati con la vittoria del Triplete nel 2010. Durante la sua gestione, Moratti investì ingenti somme per acquistare i migliori giocatori sul mercato: uno dei colpi più mediatici fu l’arrivo di Ronaldo “il Fenomeno” dal Barcellona nel 1997.
I primi anni sono stati caratterizzati da risultati altalenanti: la vittoria della Coppa UEFA contro la Lazio nel 1998 (in panchina sedeva Luigi Simoni), poi alcuni anni di sofferenza in campionato, con l’avvicendamento di diversi allenatori e investimenti che non portarono ai successi sperati. Il momento forse più difficile dell’era Moratti porta alla data del 5 maggio 2002, quando l’Inter perde lo scudetto all’ultima giornata contro la Lazio.
Da metà anni 2000, l’Inter torna ad essere dominante in Italia, vincendo 5 scudetti consecutivi (dal 2006 al 2010) e diverse Coppe Italia e Supercoppe.
Fino ad arrivare al 2010, con la conquista Del Triplete sotto la guida di Jose Mourinho.
Nel 2013, dopo 18 anni di presidenza, Moratti passa il testimone al magnate indonesiano Erick Thohir.
L'Inter sempre nel cuore
Nella mente e nel cuore dei tifosi nerazzurri, la figura di Moratti rimane comunque indelebile.
Lo abbiamo visto lo scorso maggio presenziare all’allenamento della squadra all’Arena Civica di Milano, per festeggiare la conquista di Campionato e Coppa Italia, applaudito dai tifosi con affetto. Affaticato dopo i recenti problemi di salute che lo hanno colpito, ma sempre presente quando si tratta della “sua” Inter.
Il mercato e Bastoni
Ed è tornato a parlare dei nerazzurri e del momento che stanno vivendo, a partire dall’argomento mercato. Sulla recente trattativa sfumata per Palestra e sul sogno non realizzato Nico Paz, Moratti sottolinea la forbice esistente tra le big europee e quelle italiane, che si allarga di stagione in stagione. Ai suoi tempi non c’erano i paletti del fair play finanziario e le trattative erano meno complicate. Oggi invece è difficile contrapporsi allo strapotere economico della Premier.
Nonostante gli acquisti degli altri club Milan (Gonçalo Ramos) in primis, Moratti non ha dubbi che l’Inter sia ancora la più completa: “L’Inter è ancora la più forte in Italia. Anche per questo, dopo il mancato arrivo di Palestra e Paz i tifosi sono forse un po’ infastiditi, ma non certo preoccupati. Sanno bene che l’Inter rimane davanti a tutte”. Fiducia massima anche nei confronti dell’allenatore Cristian Chivu.
Sulla vicenda Bastoni (che ha ricevuto un avviso di garanzia dalla Procura di Milano ed è indagato per prostituzione minorile), Moratti non se la sente di dare un parere su una questione di carattere umano così delicata. Ma non ha dubbi sul fatto che l’Inter sia per il ragazzo il posto migliore in cui giocare, la squadra è stretta intorno a lui e con l’affetto dei tifosi può riuscire a superare questo momento difficile.
“Il rischio che rimanga nel mirino delle altre tifoserie anche nella prossima stagione? Voglio proprio sperare che non succeda. un conto è avere certe reazioni per tifo, ben altra cosa è essere cattivi per un’accusa di cui si capisce molto poco e che soprattutto non si sa quanto possa essere vera”.
L’ex Presidente se lo terrebbe ben stretto “A meno che non sia lui a voler andare via, il che cambierebbe ogni prospettiva”.
E sembra proprio questa seconda ipotesi ad avvicinarsi di più alla verità: secondo i ben informati, Bastoni avrebbe infatti fatto sapere all'Inter di non vedere altra via d’uscita che la cessione al Real Madrid, in attesa che la corte di Mourinho si concretizzi.

It's one thing to have certain reactions due to cheering, it's quite another to be mean to an accusation that you understand very little about and above all you don't know how true it might be."
