Marotta: "Siamo la squadra da battere"
Ad aprire la conferenza è stato il Presidente Giuseppe Marotta, che ha subito ricordato il prestigio del punto di partenza dell'Inter.
"È un privilegio iniziare da campioni d'Italia e detentori della Coppa Italia. Siamo gli unici a disputare quattro competizioni, compresa la Supercoppa italiana, e vogliamo essere competitivi in tutte."

Il mercato e il caso Khalaili
Marotta ha affrontato anche i temi legati al mercato, a partire dalla situazione di Khalaili, il cui arrivo è definitivamente saltato.
"Non ha ottenuto l'idoneità agonistica del CONI e naturalmente ci dispiace molto."
Nonostante questo contrattempo, il presidente ha invitato tutti alla calma.
"Sono ottimista che Ausilio troverà presto la soluzione giusta. Non abbiamo fretta. L'anno scorso Akanji è arrivato negli ultimi giorni di mercato ed è stata un'operazione straordinaria."
Marotta ha quindi sottolineato le difficoltà economiche del calcio italiano rispetto ai principali campionati europei.
"Oggi sul mercato circolano cifre folli che rendono la Serie A meno competitiva dal punto di vista economico. Noi continueremo a fare investimenti coerenti con il nostro progetto. Dobbiamo controllare soprattutto il costo complessivo delle operazioni, dagli stipendi alle commissioni."
La durissima stoccata agli agenti
Il passaggio più acceso della conferenza è arrivato parlando del mancato arrivo di Marco Palestra, finito al Chelsea dopo essere stato a lungo vicino all'Inter.
Marotta non ha nascosto il proprio disappunto, chiamando direttamente in causa il procuratore Alessandro Lucci.
"Il caso Palestra nasce da un ripensamento del giocatore, che è legittimo. Però il suo agente avrebbe potuto avere un ruolo diverso nell'indicare il percorso migliore. Ha scelto un'altra strada e noi abbiamo dovuto prenderne atto."
Una riflessione che si è poi trasformata in una critica più ampia al crescente peso degli agenti nel calcio moderno.
"I procuratori incidono sempre di più sul destino delle società. In certi casi il loro peso è diventato sproporzionato. Se volete vi faccio anche nomi e cognomi."

Chivu: "L'entusiasmo non basta"
Dopo il presidente è stato il turno del mister Cristian Chivu, che si presenta alla nuova stagione con uno status completamente diverso rispetto a dodici mesi fa: oggi è l'allenatore campione d'Italia.
Il tecnico rumeno ha spiegato quale sarà il suo primo compito.
"La cosa più importante è trasmettere motivazione. Dobbiamo ritrovarla ogni giorno e aggiungere qualcosa in più, perché l'entusiasmo da solo non basta."
L'obiettivo è continuare a vincere.
"Non vogliamo fermarci ai due trofei conquistati. Abbiamo una rosa competitiva e abbiamo mantenuto l'ossatura costruita in questi anni."
Le idee tattiche e i giovani
Il tecnico rumeno ha parlato anche del lavoro che lo attende nelle prossime settimane, tra i giocatori che rientreranno dopo il Mondiale per Club e alcune idee tattiche che potrebbero sorprendere.
"Ringraziamo chi è andato via e aspettiamo il rientro di chi è ancora impegnato. Valuteremo Pavard sul campo."

"Ho la pazza idea di trasformare Diouf in un quinto di centrocampo. Mi piace molto in quella posizione perché possiede caratteristiche che oggi ci mancano."
