Inizia un nuovo capitolo di una storia che era già cominciata molto tempo fa: Aleksandar Stankovic è un nuovo giocatore dell’Inter. Riacquistato a titolo definitivo dal Bruges (dove ha disputato un’annata da assoluto protagonista) per 23 mln di euro, il centrocampista classe 2005 è deciso a dimostrare a Mister Chivu di essere pronto per indossare la maglia dei Campioni d’Italia. Il contratto ha decorrenza dal 1 luglio 2026 fino al 30 giugno 2031.
Di padre in figlio
Nato a Milano 21 anni fa, nazionalità serba, Stankovic respira fin da subito l’aria di San Siro: il papà Dejan, infatti, ha giocato ben 9 stagioni con i nerazzurri. Arrivato nel 2004 a Milano, ha collezionato ben 326 presenze in tutte le competizioni, vincendo 5 campionati, 4 Coppe Italia, 4 Supercoppe italiane, 1 Mondiale per club ed 1 Champions League.
Quando il papà vinceva lo storico Triplete nel 2010, dunque, Aleksander aveva 5 anni ed ha potuto vivere appieno tutte le emozioni di quei grandi trionfi.
In quel periodo ha iniziato ad indossare anche lui le scarpe coi tacchetti: “Ho iniziato a giocare a calcio per l’Inter, perché il mio sogno era giocare a San Siro.”
L'avventura in Belgio
Il suo primo contratto da professionista risale al 2023 proprio con le giovanili dell’Inter. Nel suo percorso anche il Lucerna e poi la prima vera esperienza importante nel campionato belga con il Bruges. La stagione 2025/2026 lo consacra come giovane talento: 9 gol e 5 assist in tutte le competizioni e prestazioni in Champions da grande protagonista, lo hanno portato a ricevere il premio come “miglior talento giovane” del campionato belga.
“È stata un’esperienza fantastica, ho imparato tanto sia in campo che fuori, il Club Brugge è una società clamorosa. Mi hanno dato una grossa mano e li ringrazierò sempre”.
Una rapida ascesa quella del serbo, confermata anche dall’ultimo report del CIES Football Observatory che lo ha inserito tra i migliori Under 21 con una valutazione statistica di ben 63 milioni di euro.
Il ritorno a casa
Ora Aleksandar è pronto per la sua nuova avventura all’Inter, dove ritrova Cristian Chivu che lo conosce fin da piccolo ed ha incontrato anche quando giocava con la squadra Primavera. “Chivu mi ha fatto capire cos’è il calcio e che alla fine conta ciò che fai in campo per poi vincere. Sono contentissimo di rivederlo”.
Centrocampista con un’ottima fisicità, unisce tecnica e visione di gioco ad una grande capacità di passaggio; capace di guidare la squadra, ha ereditato dal padre una leadership fortissima.
Starà a lui ora dimostrare già dai primi giorni di ritiro con la prima squadra (che si riunirà ad Appiano Gentile il 13 luglio, per poi partire dopo tre giorni per il ritiro tedesco) di essere pronto a ritagliarsi un ruolo nel centrocampo dell’Inter, già costellato di grandi campioni, mettendo il suo gioco a disposizione dei piani tattici del rumeno: “Dovrò capire tanti aspetti e le idee del Mister, ma con i campioni che ritroverò imparerò davvero molto, non vedo l’ora. Cercherò di dare una mano e aiutare la squadra con la mia piccola esperienza”.
Stankovic conosce già bene la maggior parte dei giocatori attualmente nella rosa dell’Inter, ed ha un particolare rapporto con Pio Esposito (col quale ha iniziato a giocare in Under 12) e con Federico Dimarco, col quale si sente ogni giorno e che considera come un fratello maggiore.
Il messaggio che manda ai tifosi nerazzurri è molto chiaro: “Spero di regalare loro tante emozioni e non vedo l’ora di sentire San Siro gridare il mio nome”.
Parole d’amore per i colori con i quali è cresciuto che fanno sognare i tifosi, che non vedono l’ora di vederlo in campo, magari proprio con la maglia numero 5 di papà Dejan….

In that period he too started wearing cleated shoes: "I started to play football for Inter, because my dream was to play at San Siro."
L'avventura in Belgio
His first professional contract dates back to 2023 with Inter's youth team. On his journey also Lucerna and then his first truly important experience in the Belgian championship with Bruges. The 2025/2026 season consecrated him as a young talent: 9 goals and 5 assists in all competitions and performances in the Champions League as a great protagonist, led to him receiving the award as "best young talent" in the Belgian championship.
"It was a fantastic experience, I learned a lot both on and off the pitch, Club Brugge is a sensational club. They gave me a big hand and I will always thank them". A rapid rise for the Serbian, also confirmed by the latest report from the CIES Football Observatory which included him among the best Under 21s with a statistical valuation of 63 million euros.
Il ritorno a casa
Now Aleksandar is ready for his new adventure at Inter, where he meets Cristian Chivu who has known him since he was a child and also met when he played with the Primavera team. "Chivu made me understand what football is and that in the end what counts is what you do on the pitch to win. I'm very happy to see him again."
Midfielder with excellent physicality, combines technique and vision of the game with great passing ability; capable of leading the team, he inherited a very strong leadership from his father. It will now be up to him to demonstrate from the first days of training camp with the first team (which will meet at Appiano Gentile on 13 July, and then leave three days later for the German training camp) that he is ready to carve out a role for himself in Inter's midfield, already dotted with great champions, by making his game available to the Romanian's tactical plans: "I will have to understand many aspects and the Coach's ideas, but with the champions that I will meet again, I will really learn a lot, I can't wait. I will try to lend a hand and help the team with my little experience."
Stankovic already knows most of the players currently in the Inter squad well, and has a particular relationship with Pio Esposito (with whom he started playing in the Under 12s) and with Federico Dimarco, with whom he speaks every day and whom he considers like an older brother.
