C’era da aspettarsi un mercato rovente che si sarebbe acceso all’improvviso ma fin da subito si è scatenata la bagarre per Matteo Cocchi, classe 2007, esterno sinistro di proprietà nerazzurra. In fila ci sarebbero tante pretendenti per uno dei prospetti più interessanti del calcio italiano. Cresciuto nel Bologna e poi nell’Inter, dove ha già esordito con la prima squadra, è stato un pilastro dell’Under 23. Le prestazioni della passata stagione hanno destato l’attenzione di moltissimi club del campionato cadetto, che vedono in lui un innesto di qualità. La Beneamata, apertissima al prestito, è stata chiara: vuole una piazza dove il calciatore possa migliorare e giocare con continuità, come fu lo Spezia per Pio Esposito.
Caratteristiche e numeri di Cocchi
Nato come terzino sinistro, è stato capace nel corso degli anni di adattarsi perfettamente al ruolo di esterno a tutta fascia nel 3-5-2, dimostrando grande spirito di adattamento e duttilità. Mancino dotato di un ottimo cross e con la capacità di trovare sempre lo spazio per rendersi pericoloso con la sua velocità, conferisce alla squadra qualità e presenza costante sull’intero out di sinistra. Il suo punto di riferimento è Federico Dimarco, dal quale avrà certamente imparato tanto in allenamento.
L’anno scorso in Serie C ha collezionato 26 presenze impreziosite da un bellissimo gol contro l’Albinoleffe, fornendo due assist. Con queste prestazioni e le sue doti tecniche si è guadagnato la possibilità di giocare in prima squadra una partita in Serie A e due in Coppa Italia, fra cui la il match da titolare contro il Torino, per un totale di 120 minuti. Due anni fa aveva già esordito in Champions League contro il Feyenoord agli ottavi. Questi numeri incredibili, data la sua giovane età, sono destinati ad aumentare, ma intanto lo hanno reso un convocato fisso dell’Italia Under 19, consentendogli la chiamata per l’Europeo. Una vetrina importantissima per un talento della sua caratura.
Le pretendenti
Le performance dello scorso anno hanno scatenato una vera e propria caccia all’esterno interista. Pisa, Palermo, Avellino, Catanzaro fra tutte sono quelle che hanno sondato il terreno chiedendo informazioni e cercando di gettare le basi per convincere i dirigenti a concedere il prestito. La squadra campione d’Italia d’altronde ha come obiettivo quello di salvaguardare il suo talento e per farlo pretende che al ragazzo venga data la possibilità di giocare titolare, e in caso di più scelte conformi alla richiesta, si confronterà con Cocchi stesso per la miglior destinazione possibile.
L'interesse di Pisa e Catanzaro
Per giorni il Pisa e il Catanzaro sono risultate quelle più volenterose nel chiedere l’azzurrino in prestito. Fra le due squadre appaiono in vantaggio le Aquile del Sud, avendo dimostrato di saper valorizzare i giovani, come Liberali, Favasuli e tanti altri.
Al contrario il Pisa, reduce da una scottante retrocessione, deve prima sistemare gli esuberi e questo potrebbe rallentare la possibile operazione.
Le altre squadre interessate
L’Avellino resta alla finestra in attesa mentre il Palermo ,che ha bisogno di un terzino under da affiancare ad Augello, ha individuato in Cocchi il profilo ideale, ma non gli garantirebbe la presenza fissa in campo. L’unica soluzione per i rosanero sarebbe quella di acquistare il talento, avendo anche la forza economica per farlo.
La volontà dell'Inter
Il suo valore di mercato è stimato per circa 2,5 milioni di euro ma la dirigenza interista rifiuterebbe una cifra del genere, non essendo intenzionata nella maniera più assoluta a liberarsi definitivamente del giocatore.
In casa nerazzurra preferirebbero una fra Catanzaro e Pisa, perché entrambe giocano col 3-5-2, il modulo perfetto per mettere alla prova, in un campionato di livello, il classe 2007.
