Il Barcellona ha scelto. Dopo settimane di valutazioni, il nome su cui si sono concentrati i desideri di Joan Laporta e di Hansi Flick è quello di Karim Adeyemi. L'esterno offensivo del Borussia Dortmund ha raggiunto un accordo di massima con il club catalano per quanto riguarda durata del contratto e ingaggio, mentre tra le due società è stato trovato un accordo sulla base di 22 milioni più 7 di bonus.
Laporta è dunque riuscito nell'obiettivo di consegnare a Flick un'altra arma offensiva dopo la decisione di non proseguire con Marcus Rashford. Il tecnico tedesco considera Adeyemi il profilo ideale per aumentare velocità, profondità e pressione offensiva, caratteristiche fondamentali nel suo sistema di gioco.
Accordo raggiunto con Adeyemi
La parte più complicata della trattativa sembra ormai superata. Il giocatore ha dato il proprio assenso al trasferimento e ha accettato le condizioni economiche proposte dal Barcellona. Secondo le indiscrezioni provenienti dalla Spagna, il contratto dovrebbe essere pluriennale, fino al 2031, con uno stipendio in linea con i parametri economici imposti dal club catalano.
Decisivo anche il lavoro del suo agente, Jorge Mendes, da sempre molto vicino al presidente Laporta. Il procuratore portoghese ha gestito gli ultimi dettagli con entrambe le società per arrivare rapidamente alla chiusura dell'operazione, che ormai sembra avviata verso l'iter di rito in vista della formalizzazione.
La volontà di Adeyemi
A favorire la trattativa è stata soprattutto la situazione contrattuale del giocatore. Adeyemi era infatti in scadenza nel giugno 2027 e ha chiaramente comunicato al Borussia Dortmund di non voler rinnovare il proprio contratto. Una posizione che ha messo il club tedesco davanti a un bivio: cedere il calciatore quest'estate oppure rischiare di perderlo a parametro zero dodici mesi più tardi. Proprio questo elemento ha convinto il Dortmund ad abbassare le proprie pretese economiche.
Un sogno che parte da lontano
Quello tra l’esterno tedesco e il Barcellona è un corteggiamento che dura ormai da tempo. Già la scorsa estate il nazionale tedesco aveva manifestato la volontà di vestire la maglia blaugrana, tanto da respingere anche l'interesse della Juventus. All'epoca, però, il trasferimento non si concretizzò per i problemi legati al tetto salariale del club catalano e per alcune perplessità della dirigenza sul rendimento dell'attaccante.
Dodici mesi dopo lo scenario è completamente cambiato. Flick ha dato il proprio via libera all'operazione, Laporta ha accelerato e Mendes ha trovato le condizioni giuste per portare la trattativa sui giusti binari. Adeyemi, dal canto suo, non ha mai avuto dubbi sulla propria destinazione.

In fact, Adeyemi's contract expired in June 2027 and he clearly communicated to Borussia Dortmund that he did not want to renew his contract. A position that has put the German club at a crossroads: sell the player this summer or risk losing him on a free transfer twelve months later. Precisely this element convinced Dortmund to lower their economic demands.
